DELADAP's history is one of constant change, progression and the exciting search for their own unique version of pop. “I take one step forward and one step back/dance like crazy and I'm right on track/I'm a rocket on a mission, got no simple plan/just one big vision, people clap your hands,” they sing in “Merry Go Round.” Just like all pop music—indeed, all art—DELADAP want to bring people together on equal footing, get them to connect with each other and not necessarily tear down the artificial walls that separate us on various levels, but instead dance all over them. Tim Freitag's lead vocalist Janick’s ex was a devoted, diehard Klischée fan, often attending concerts, driving Janick to green jealousy, and, thus, totally logically, averse to electro-swing. Nevertheless, he rose above his repugnance and contacted Klischée for a remix, as if in homage to his onetime beloved. Lo and behold! The singer has now overcome his electro-swing-trauma with this remix and even confesses to being a Klischée fan.  Who would’ve thought! Miracles still do happen.

Electro Swing newcomers The Swinghoppers join forces with veteran Wolfgang Lohr to plant their flag firmly in the next decade! "Party Like It's 1920" is a Swing House floor-filler, which aims to recreate the sights and sounds of the Roaring Twenties a century later.

Offbeat of the Swinghoppers says "The idea for the song came about after seeing all those memes saying “In X days it’ll be the 20s again, I propose we bring back swing music and jazz attire!”. It got us thinking "Someone's gotta do it - why not us!"

The pair had already worked together on another track “Very Nice People” so Wolfgang's production was an obvious choice for this track. He certainly delivered and the end result is a perfect mix of the fun and excitement that is synonymous with this infamous era.

"Party Like It's 1920" is being released through Wolfgang Lohr's very own label Electro Swing Thing and will be available to stream and download from 3rd of January. Expect this song to be a staple of every Gatsby-themed party for the next 10 years!

Deladap & Wolfgang Lohr - Make Swing Great Again (feat. Melinda Stoika)

Wolfgang Lohr is a Berlin based producer, composer, remixer, artist, and DJ whose career spans way back and encompasses a vast variety of different musical projects. Born in Bad Segeberg and raised in Lübeck (GER) by the Baltic Sea, where he served as a trumpeter, singer, and songwriter for the ska band “DaSKArtell” (@das-kartell).

He finally moved to Berlin in 2007 and dove right into its colorful and flourishing electro scene. Till this day he’s involved in several groups and productions, such as the Disco-House duo “DINKS” (@dinksmusik) and the Tech House outfit “Dorade” (@dorademusik), making him a mainstay of the scene who has created remixes for well known, fellow artists like Felix Jaehn, Parov Stelar, Alle Farben, The Manhattan Transfer and In-Grid.

His cover of Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack” has surpassed a total of 60 million plays and has turned Lohr into one of the most sought-after Electro Swing artists worldwide, with a catalogue that now spans about 150 own tracks and remixes.

In addition to his musical endeavors, he has co-founded a Tech House label Coast Connection (@coastconnectionrecords), the “FDF” music blog (@free-download-friday), turned House-label “FDF Records”, as well as the “Electro Swing Thing” (@electroswing) label that has become a home to the versatile cross-over genre and amplifies the voices of its artists.
