PERE is the new electronic project of Shahar Amit aka Tribone. Born and raised in Israel, Shahar has been traveling around the world, gathering multicultural influences from the dynamic scenes of Australia, Europe, and The Americas. 

This track also features the instrumental work of acclaimed musician Si Mullumby (Wild Marmalade) who masterfully wields his didgeridoo to illustrate the song across more than seven minutes of hypnotic rhythms and beats, Listen for a colorful glimpse into the sounds to come from two of the psychedelic underground’s most esteemed electronic producers as they explore the landscapes of tribal house music.

Bringing the rhythms of the natural world to the modern dance floor, Liquid Bloom and PERE unite their distinct musical backgrounds into the immersive story called ‘Afar.’ Presented in eight vivid tracks that infuse organic instruments and ancient songs with the trance-inducing energy of progressive electronica, the collection highlights each artist’s deep passion for the sounds of the world as well as their iconic approaches to musical storytelling in the digital age.

Opening the album, the journey of “Nubra” takes us through deep ambient spaces, percussive grooves, and the elegant and haunting tones of the sarangi and dotar, establishing a balance of organic and digital elements that pervades the collection. Stepping further into this hypnotic space, tracks like “Overgrown” and “Riding Through” showcase the fiery side of the album, merging acoustic instrumentation with heavier electronic themes that are primed for peak moments on the dance floor.

“Kingfisher” featuring Australian multi-instrumentalist Si Mullumby demonstrates the duo’s creative mixing of natural sounds and instruments for a walkabout into the wilderness, while “Pájaro Azul’s” uplifting balance of charango, flute, and tranquil vocals courtesy of Isla Espiral spotlights the Latin American musical influences at play in the collection. “Ufawatu” featuring African music master Chris Berry is a playful song that translates as ‘the dream of life in the sacred waters.’ Japanese vocalist Madi Sato guides the album out of the wildness with the emotional and cinematic ‘Lion Dance’ anthem that is “Azuma Jishi.”

If ‘Afar’ opens slowly, the final track, “Refuge,” ends like glowing embers of Samadhi, echoing and honoring the immense passage of emotion that has transpired through PERE and Liquid Bloom's offerings. The full effect of the duo’s musical fusion is best felt here, where the recognizable coalesces with the imaginary in a cinematic coda that displays each producer’s alchemical approach to psychedelic sound design and guides the album back into the silence from which it all emerged.

The Spy from Cairo (aka Moreno “Zeb” Visini) returns with his 5th studio album on Wonderwheel Recordings: “Animamundi” features some special collaborations from his travels & live shows from over the past few years. The album reflects the move from his home in NYC to his mother’s home in a quiet village in Italy to take care of her in her older age. It’s been a difficult transition with Italy’s challenging experience with the pandemic, including some of the strictest measures enforced on the public. He recalls by stating “This album was conceived between 2020 and 2021 in Italy, between lockdowns, restrictions, and various pandemic mandates. Its message is of hope and positivity - a reminder that we are all spiritual beings… Free spiritual beings… and that freedom can’t be broken.” 

“Animamundi” is a reconfirmation that The Spy from Cairo overcomes all obstacles & delivers a diverse progression of his iconic “Arabadub” sound, with the help of collaborators like Andalucian vocalist Carmen Estevez, Mexican vocalist Mambe Rodriguez on the heavy hitting “Criminal,” Egyptian vocalist Adii Small on “Beautiful Baraka,” and former touring band member, the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Fatima Gozlan from Hungary. The music can vary from heavy deep electronic synths and live eastern instrumentation with Zeb playing oud, saz, chiftelli, bass, percussion, and other instruments, all along giving it his signature dub mixing style. 

The songs take inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions and cultures, including Turkish (on “Cosmic Pasha,” “Qanun in Dub” – using the qanun, an instrument popular across the Middle East, with a sound between the European harp and a dulcimer – and “Black Sea,” which utilises a typical Dabke melody), Egyptian (“Mizmirized,” sampling riffs from a mizmar), Indian (“Seeds of Culture), and Sufi (“Divination,” a devotional composition), fusing these reference points with healthy doses of cumbia, funk, reggae, psychedelic, and dub. Thematically, “Animamundi” deals with some of the struggles Zeb – and all of us – have faced the last two years, through the lens of his personal experiences. Yet, the tone of the record manages to remain positive, like an uplifting dance through the world’s sounds; after all, “Animamundi” means “soul of the world” in Greek. With album art by Sam Angeli and layout design by Marcial Arts, this beautiful album is a truly well-rounded worldwide collaboration.

The story, by El Extravagante:

This is a very special song, written and recorded in Montréal, our Cosmovision Records city!, it was during the famous ¨bed-in for peace¨  in 1969 by John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, where also the picture of this cover was taken. 

All my life a big fan of these 2 artists and their peace activism, this song makes me happy and gives me light and hope to know that we are here to make a positive change, despite the circumstances we can always do something and to raise awareness of the importance of peace in the world should always be a priority.

It breaks my heart to see all these wars happening, with music friends being affected and even If maybe I can't do much, I chose to speak up for peace from this little place we have as artists. Please, anywhere you are never forget to speak up for peace, ¨dance for peace, make love for peace¨ and that  ¨Peace is like mantra that we have to repeat over and over¨ J.Lennon.

Brazilian Tropical Psych artist Felipie Puperi aka Tagua Tagua returns to Wonderwheel with the 2nd single from his upcoming album. "Colors", one of the last songs written before completion of the album, is injected with R'n'B and a hint of pop, as the filtered guitar and the synths on the track take the music into a space very much of its own. Lyrically, "Colors'' is nostalgic and talks about a single encounter and the power it has to transform a person's life.

Tagua Tagua's full length LP, 'Tanto' is due out on March 3rd.

Ecuadorian singer Huaira has created a buzz and a tuned in fanbase across Latin America through just a small number of releases and unforgettable features with the likes of Nicola Cruz's ("Prender Del Alma"), Los Espiritus, Rodrigo Gallardo, Fernando Milagros and more. Now, she is coming together with the talented Berlin based producer Captures for a series of special singles on Wonderwheel. The first, "Sonámbula", a “realismo mágico” song, sonically creates a mystical vibe through it's dark bassline, unearthly synths & sound effects that swirl in the darkness of the track, while Huaira's vocals range from interspersed words to near-chantlike verses and lilting phrases. Lyrically, the track talks about the space of the waking dream. It speaks of our choice to be present in this illusion or dormant while we walk through each passing day...the storytelling of the dream, the eternal lover within ourselves and the many mirrors we encounter in our relationship to others.

"Pra Trás" is the third and final single from Brazilian Psych / Tropicalia artist Felipe Puperi aka Tagua Tagua. Sounding like a cross between Shuggie Otis and a Brazilian Mac Demarco, the soulful single opens the forthcoming 'Tanto' album with fuzzed out guitars, a driving beat, Bill Withers-esque strings, and Felipe's unmistakable voice, tipping into falsetto on the catchy chorus. Lyrically the song is about leaving things behind - referencing the feeling of moving past his previous release and making space for something new to flow through. "Tanto" releases March 3rd on Wonderwheel Recordings.

The original single is a brilliantly organic and afro tinged house roller. It is perfect for sunny terraces with its xylophones, ethnic chants and jumbled drums. Pulsinger & Irl Dub is a more acid laced and direct track for the club, Raz Ohara keeps it deep and zoned out, with thoughtful piano keys gently layered up top, and Atsou brings the spiritual vibes with deft synth lines and nimble bass getting you on your toes.
Andreas Weisz flips the track into something more driven, with warped bass and layers of hand claps, hits and toms as well as the standout original vocal all getting you in a trance and a radio edit and dub instrumental close out a richly detailed and worldwide package.
