The aim of the Academy is to break down the barrier that exists between new talent and record labels.
We believe that our programmes are the most cutting-edge in the world of House, Tech House and Techno.
From on-demand production tutorials, to interactive online programmes, through to offering the word’s first record label-based degree, we are committed to innovating music education.
Additionally, we offer a range of high quality production tools to enhance and aid your creativity, as well as regular online and face-to-face education events around the world.
With the Toolroom Academy, we wanted to create as many opportunities for new artists as possible.
And our success speaks for itself. Our students have seen signings to the biggest labels in underground electronic music, achieved flagship radio plays and garnered international DJ appearances.
Diversity is a big part of what we do. Our We Are Listening platform supports female and non-binary artists, and has already seen huge success.
Community is everything to us, and we believe new artists should have the opportunity to support each other. All previous students automatically join our Alumni group, where we offer continuous support and tuition each and every month.

Drew Wilson aka The Temperamental Goat is a trail blazing West Australian DJ. Spending over ten years settin up doofs and playing epic sets to the Australian underground music scene the Goat has formed a very unique sound and vibe that keeps dancefloors moving whatever the time!  Not limited by genre the Temperamental Goat takes his listeners on an animated sonic journey of epic proportions. With a taste for bass driven breaks, jazz fizzled haus, ghetto style, glitch,slapping psytrance, technical techno and everything inbetween be prepared to go on a journey! Carefully curating his sets for every gig he is not one to be missed.

DJ, Grammy-nominated producer and label owner Mark Knight is one of the most celebrated electronic artists of his generation with an impressive 200 Million + global streams to his name. SINFENI is a Perth-based DJ and producer pushing a high-octane blend of hard house, techno, and trance. Raised on her mum’s 90s rave and dance records, she began DJing at 13 years old - naturally gravitating toward high-energy sounds, fusing nostalgic influences with modern underground flavour in her sets.

Known for her dynamic mixing and instinctive track selection, she’s supported heavyweights like Hannah Laing, Patrick Topping, Odd Mob, Ben Hemsley, Narciss, BK, Baron Von Trax, Benwal and more. SINFENI has become a local favourite with real momentum.

She’s a regular at top clubs, festivals, and events across WA and this year made her Teletech debut, marking a significant milestone in her rapidly rising career. 

SINFENI also continues to turn heads as the founder and creative force behind XLR8, a high impact club night. Known for its careful programming and electric vibe, XLR8 has become a standout event in Perth's scene.

With the release of her debut EP and visual project, as well as plans for more wild projects, SINFENI will not be slowing down.

Amelie Lens has taken the techno scene to another level, with her unrelenting passion for the genre, with a strong message that she always was, and always will be a raver at heart.

Amelie‘s debut release in 2016 marked the beginning of her distinguished career. Since then, she has released music on many of the industry‘s leading labels and contributed to the prestigious Global Underground City mix series. Amelie is a regular headliner at major festivals such as Awakenings, Sonar, Timewarp, and Tomorrowland’s mainstage. Additionally, she performs at renowned club venues across the globe.

Fast forward to 2024 and Amelie is heading her labels Lenske and EXHALE Records, running her party series EXHALE, holds down an extensive touring schedule and hosts her own radio show. The show now streams online and broadcasts on 34 radio stations across the globe, reaching nearly 5 million listeners with every episode.

Amelie has been focused on her signature sound, emphasised by the use of her own vocals. She wants to capture audiences that may not always be there for techno but feel connected after discovering something new.
