t_fortuna - a Trap will set you free

The Sundown Tapes is a summer series of mixes curated by Argo inspired by summer and the iconic legacy of José Padilla at Café Del Mar in Ibiza. Each volume brings together a musical artist who is invited to create their own version of a "sunset mix" - music for that moment when the light softens and the world slows down.

The sounds explored drift through balaeric ambience, house, electronic, rap, brazillian funk, and more -- shaped by each artist's personal response to the magic of sundown.

The first 30 minutes of the mix comes from DJ Twinkle.

Jake Slipkovich, (DJ twinkle) is a Tennessee-born, London based multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and DJ. At the core of their practice is a fascination with the ineffable, using sound as a primary medium to give volume to the silent & form to the formless. Their work is an exploration of world building through the invisible; constructing vast & sensorial realms that are unseen but felt deeply. This exploration has recently expanded beyond the auditory to including the olfactory; pairing sound & fragrance together to, in John Cages’s words, ‘tint an environment’. Currently pursuing sound as a mode of fine art at Central Saint Martins, Jake synthesizes their diverse craft & experience across music, dance, performance, and film to question how we listen and, in turn, how we experience the world around us.

Introducing on World Canvas: Nettles - MALIBU. The debut album of Helsinki-based producer and cross-media artist Nooa Paukkunen.

Interspersed with varied electronic instrumentation, voice memos and field recordings, Nettles’s debut album carries a sense of intimacy throughout its seven songs. The minimalist compositions give room for sonic ideas to grow beyond what’s laid out on the surface to something larger - an assemblage of synthezised and cracks between private and resonant.
