A few years back, my buddy DJ Askew told me that he had found an old mix tape of mine on cassette, which he’d digitised, and he asked would I like a copy.. When I recorded the mix in 1997, I did make a couple of copies for some friends, but I had long since lost mine.. So I was very excited to hear it again..

There are two mixes which just about fill each of the 45 minutes sides.. I recorded mixes one day in our St. Kilda apartment, using vinyl I had bought from record shops in Prahran.. The music was 100% Moodymann tracks, all realised prior to Shades Of Jae.. The A-side is pretty mellow, but the B-side really gets going..

Much respect to Moodymann..! Enjoy..! xx
