Welcome fellow music travellers! 

You will find here the first episode of a new audio podcast series called "where you are from". This series will see myself invite my friends and ask about their experience with music and in particular choosing 5 tracks that are defining in where they currently stand in the vast sonic landscape of this world.

The last stop of the @wp-frequencies love train through Bulgaria this summer was in Sofia - in the whimsical lair of Equipaж Studio, where we unpacked a rainbow of genres and emotions, in line with our eclectic CHORBA concept.

A dear old-time friend and a beautiful soul, Dl. Bob traversed the Dobruja plane from the very motherland of Rominimal to bless us with this heart-warming and body-moving set, injecting a positive energy that negated any exhaustion among us.

Latest radio show at Too Late Radio from 13.06.2025

When OK EG enters Varden it’s 8:30PM on Sunday. It’s been a slow and steady build during the day, much slower than the day before, people have been given time to rest properly from a late night on Saturday. This is the journey. The ebb and flow of the forest. It’s their job to get the crowd going for the last couple of interval sprints. They are well rested and ready.

OK EG’s expansive sound is deep and diverse. Their compositions display a range that shifts between delicate, textural soundscapes, and spiralling, mesmerizing, mind-trip techno.

They first went to Monument festival in 2024, taking a break from a residency at EMS in Stockholm to spend a weekend in the forest. They brought a field recorder with them and spent time on the riverbank recording the sound of stones and water.

And listen to this level of dedication; while preparing for their live set in 2025, they used those recordings to write a closing track called Monument Stone. This is what they said about it. ”In the moment of performing it at the festival, we felt that everything came together. The crowd, the music and the site connected and it happened just as we’d imagined it.”

During their set day turns to dusk. We transition together, ready for the night - the sound, nature, forest and lights. Hand in hand.

Monument Festival 2025 : OK EG (live)

The next instalment in our series comes from ANNX, recorded at Corsica Studios during the @snoozeafters night in collaboration with @crescent-london. It drifts through ambient soundscapes, nature-tinged downtempo, dubbed-out grooves, and irresistibly slow, squelchy basslines.

Inspired by cities and dancefloors where she's lived and explored, ANNX’s unique seductive sound echos within her psychedelic selections across trance, prog, psy, techno, tech house, bass and more. 

Her distinct sound has gained her global visibility appearing on club and festival line-ups in the UK, France and Mexico including Gloria at Macadam, SinXcensura in Mexico and she is a resident DJ at Above Below Festival. 

Anna’s commitment to the scene goes beyond the booth, she carefully identifies niche sounds that are missing in the UK and has become a staple for psychedelic music on London's club circuit. In 2021, she founded Whomp, a non-profit party in London which she now co-runs with Lora Mipsum. In 2023, she started a brand-new project perspectives• with lighting designer Nicole Gordon. Most recently, she joined the Above Below music team. 

All is in flux. Nothing remains still.
