Tried out another free synth plugin (by audiolatry) and threw some samples and stuff on it... and some vocals. And ended up with this one!

Really, really LOVE the way she sings "a-arms", staccato style! :)

Baby Don't You Know

Enter The Deep

What initially started as a funk or funky soul track became this rough (but still a bit funky) alternative pop track. Took this turn very soon after I added some vocals by singer/songwriter/musician/composer Notelle (had the right key).

Well, those who know her own "industrial pop" tracks won't be surprised that much... seems there's something about her soft, delicate voice that's craving for "raw and unpolished companionship" (or accompaniment to put it in more musical, less misleading terms).

Whatever... started with the drums, then the funky bass... and here we are. One of my best tracks this year! :)

Might still not be perfect yet (the guitar as always, but got quite the headache so I'll leave it for now). Nonetheless: VERY happy with this one!!

INFO: Middle aged music maker (and recreational drummer) from the middle of Franconian nowhere (arranging* music from Space Jazz to Hip Hop, from Synthpop to Triphop, from Folk to Doom, from here to there, from then to now, and many things in between - except for EDM / Techno).

*) "arranging" because: Still having distressing little knowledge of musical theory, keys & chords doesn't qualify me as a composer. Mastering not a single musical instrument (disregarding some amateur drum skills and some lousy chords on guitar) won't qualify me as a (pro) musician either. "Producer"? Well, having dived into the world of producing/mixing only two, three years ago, jumping from DAW to DAW, mainly following a  bricolage approach (and my ears) on a trial and error course? So no, not "by profession".

Starting with "found footage" (samples / sounds / VSTs), or by just floundering about on the keyboard while trying out a new plugin, I never know where the musical journey leads me. [Well, except for, let's say, in a Techno/Trance direction, that's just not part of my musical nature... So if you're looking for some monotonic electronic beats, better look somewhere else! Apart from that, you're welcome to stay! ;)]
