TOR and the When We Dip team proudly continue the label’s signature release series with the second edition of the Tales of Romance VA. As we set the early foundations of TOR’s sound and creative direction, this series showcases the pillars of the imprint in the years to come, and provides an explorative platform for our family of producers.

We welcome a new figure to the TOR imprint as we enter the heart of the release. Hailing from southern Italy, Nick Scofield quickly impressed us with his range and diversity in production style through the demo process. Afro, progressive, and classic house all have their place in his toolbox. Birds is a great representation of the new name on the scene, enlisting an effortlessly energetic kick and natural sampling. A sound that speaks for itself!

RYNTH delivers its last original release of the year! Following 30+ new ones, the label finally touches down in Miami. Samihe is a DJ, producer and the co-founder of Minds Alike. Known for melancholic sounds, he debuts “three beautifully crafted songs" on “Now.” The final mix, “Legna,” features hollow instrumentation akin to its Italian namesake.

'African Electronic band, Bantwana’s are back again shortly after the recent success with their last release, ‘Gus & Lib EP’ on their own Bantwanas Kollektiv imprint, that saw them soaring to new heights. Their latest release is nothing short of what you’d expect from the global charting group and this time they’ve enlisted the skills of leading Cologne-based DJ and producer Tim Engelhardt to remix the title track off their EP, ‘In Silence’.

First up, Tim Engelhardt flips the original on its head, whilst skillfully maintaining the elegance of the original with his remix of ‘In Silence’. Lively acoustic drum patterns, ghostly pads and a playful synth melody encompass the lush vocals of the original while commanding a more upbeat variation on the tempo of the original.

Next up, Bantwanas set things off with a mesmerizing downtempo electronica track, ‘In Silence’. Embellished with hauntingly soulful vocals, organic African rhythms and an endearing melody, that sees Bantwana’s drive for perfection and creative exploration come head to head in this masterpiece. Closing off the EP with a class that has become known from these two artists, leaving you with a sense of what’s to come from them in the future.'

Sound Avenue begins the new year by welcoming Jayden Klight back to the label for his debut EP. The US artist made his first appearance on the Belgian imprint in September of last year with a remix of ‘Pattern Lock’ by Madloch & Subnode. His enticing deep house sound has also found a home on several esteemed imprints, such as L’enfant terrible, Magician On Duty, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Seven Villas. Now beginning the new year in style, Jayden lands back on Sound Avenue with ‘Click’ alongside a remix from Silence Path.
