XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the underground's finest selectors.

Continuing the showcase of the talent behind Koelle & Reza Safinia’s ‘Reverie’ Remixes, we're excited to have Niki Sadeki on the decks for episode 102 of XYZ Selectors. Fresh off her ‘Into The Woods’ release on the label, the Iranian-Canadian producer delivers a mix nothing short of mesmerizing. 

Her take on the original track embraces an upfront arpeggio and a pumping ride cymbal. These core elements offer the backdrop to an arrangement rounded by chimes, lush pads, and counter-melodies, culminating in a dreamy, soothing tune.

Pizza Ravers, as promised - our B2B Set is now online! 

This was an unforgettable special pizza rave edition where we had the pleasure of performing at Berlin’s Pizza Rave with our first B2B set as @jonnylust & @manisah_dj.

After meeting at last month’s rave, we instantly knew it was right to join forces and collaborate. And we were very fortunate to do so this August.


That evening, an electric energy surged through the air—perhaps from the 30-degree heat, a looming thunderstorm, or the thrill of fusing our track selections in front of a rave-hungry crowd. We laughed, sweated through our shirts, navigated various technical challenges, and ultimately danced the night away with an incredible Kreuzberg crowd.

Oliver Huntemann... Need we say more?

One of the true pioneers, you can trace his roots all the way back to the early 90's as a early member of Humate, work your way through his many accomplishments and end up at today where he is still as relevant as ever. Not only has he added his expert touch to some of the globe's biggest acts (from Underworld, to Chemical Brothers to Depeche Mode), but his label Ideal Audio has been releasing deadset quality since 2008 (and that includes his album H-3). The German is also extremely sough-after as a collaborator, and his co-productions with Dubfire in particular, resulted in some of that year's biggest dancefloor bombs.

Of late, Huntemann is constantly releasing quality through his label Senso Sounds, which has grown exponentially in popularity. And as the legend tells us, there are plenty more to come: 'The priority for this year is set on the release of my new album 'Propaganda‘, coming out on Friday 13th of October. The singles 'Poltergeist‘ and 'Rotlicht‘ are already rotating very well and ’m very excited to have the whole story soon available for everyone. Beside this I have just signed great new singles to Senso Sounds from my buddy Hatzler, Brasilian DJ Alex Stein, German producer Carlo Ruetz and some cool tracks from various artists for the succesful Senso Sounds Level Series.'

Currently on tour in Australia, we count ourselves lucky that Oliver has found the time to craft a podcast which throbs and pulsates in all the right places. With tracks from Andre Winter, Tale of Us and of course, Oliver himself, this is the sound of a true techno craftsman.

Bio:
Borella is a Toronto based DJ and producer known for her melodically dynamic sound that mostly falls on
the darker side.
She took her very first music lessons at the age of 5. Later on at the age of 12 she took her first guitar
lessons and pursued with classical and Spanish training.
Her love for electronic music developed in her teens. After digging in the underground scene for a few
years, Borella found herself drawn to the deeper journey-like sounds that spoke a slightly more complex
language than others.

The German artist from Bremen likes to inject a sense of fun into everything she does, even her DJ name is loosely taken from the English words ‘be better’. Her famous live session, ‘Bebetta in Bed’, sees her live streaming in her pyjamas from her bed alongside guest acts like Super Flu and Florian Kruse. 

The majority of her productions can be found on the Monaberry label, but you will also find her work on Get Physical, Sincopat, and Anjunadeep. Her productions are full of inventive ideas, hook-laden melodies, and lush chords, it’s easy to see why her music resonate with such respected imprints.
