Following Rashid Ajami’s ecstatic debut with the A-side on our latest Tales of Romance project, we’re thrilled to have him back in full as we kick off the summer months. Through work with the likes of Maya Jane Coles and Atjazz, the Londoner has built a sterling reputation with releases on Get Physical, Einmusika, Anjunadeep, and Tale & Tone. For his inaugural EP with the TOR imprint - Never Knew - he continues to purvey his exquisite brand of deep house. 

Chasing Ghosts elevates the energy with a sturdy house backbone. The timeless character oozes as playful synths and a revolving bassline enlist the need for a two-step. Rashid lets his production prowess do the talking here, allowing the instrumental arrangement to stir us into a deep groove.

'An artist with accolades, awards and unparalleled talent, Jamie Stevens has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene for two decades as founding member of Infusion and in solo guise. A regular on such esteemed imprints as Lost and Found, Bedrock and Selador, the Australian has caused a stir on Proton Music with his remixes of Rudy's "All Things Fade", in 2019, and Petar Dundov's "Nature of Nature" in late 2020. Creating a typically innovative offering, the Jamie Stevens remix revels in a powerful rhythmic foundation that rolls dynamically forward with echoes of the percussive flavour found in "Knock About". Building throughout, layers of sound create a constantly evolving dancefloor groove that makes elegant use of the chords prevalent in the original, while glorious spot effects and ambient sounds pan the stereo spectrum giving depth and space. The result is another creative masterpiece from the Jamie Stevens studio.'

Montrealer @mitch_oliver returns to Kindisch with a pair of hypnotic house rollers.

Mitch Oliver is at the heart of the ever-evolving melodic movement. The rising star is a DJ, producer and sound engineer respected for his blend of emotive grooves on the likes of Akbal Music, Seven
Villas, When We Dip XYZ and Hoomidaas Records. He has previously released two singles on this label and now returns with his first full EP for the Berlin imprint. His deft touch in the studio and finely curated DJ sets have taken him across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean with performances at renowned events such as AIM Festival, Burning Man and SXM Festival. At home in Montreal, he runs his own Aurora events as a residency at Velvet and he was part of Guy Laliberté’s PY1 Nights.

Mitch opens up with vocalist MYRE for 'Alpine', a richly detailed track with subtle acoustic guitar licks and buttery smooth vocals. The spacious, patient groove builds with deft percussive details that heighten the alluring atmosphere of this classy late night gem.

Second track 'Mylus' is a collaboration with musician @nicfalardeau. It is another brilliantly organic track with seductive wood-block hits over frictionless deep house drums. Serene string sounds, yawning chords and soft shakers all pepper the perfect groove as you slowly but surely fall under its majestic and romantic spell.

These are two tender house tracks stuffed with heartfelt warmth.

Mitch Oliver, Nic Falardeau - Mylus (Snippet)

'Travis Jesse has made quite a stir from his adopted Argentinean home. A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, April 2020's 5-track "Solandra" EP showcased the native Australian's production skills.

Going onto feature on the likes of 3rd Avenue, AH Digital and Mistique Music, Jesse's Particles debut opens with "Salvage". Redolent in deep rolling groove and heavy beat, melodic flourishes revel alongside panned synth and thickly layered pads. A glorious collage of sounds thus builds amidst dancefloor rhythm in a track that showcases effortless craftsmanship. The picture book "Wildflower" continues the head-shaking rhythmic cadence while a subterranean bass groove anchors a symphony of melodic touches. Blossoming through the beatless breakdown, delayed piano and reverse reverb vocal breaths jostle gently against gently pulsing pads in waves of sonic bliss.

Another relative newcomer, Mauro Masi is the third artist to ply his trade from South America. A proponent of deep and progressive house, the Argentinean has quickly found his feet within the underground dance fraternity after an August 2019 debut on Mystic Carousel Records. Further work has since graced the likes of Flug Lab, Balkan Connection and Nick Lewis's Emotional Content Recordings. Now making his Particles debut, the Mauro Masi remix swims in joyous melodic harmony as refrains from "Wildflower" fizz and ripple across a cascading array of new production material. New motifs hypnotise in gentle repetition, surrounded by a chunky rhythmic framework and deep kick. Building in subtly overlapping sonic layers, new melodies blend seamlessly with Travis Jesse's work. The result is an ingenious and innovative new arrangement that encapsulates the Mauro Masi production sound.

Able to "Salvage" a treasure trove of sonic jewels, Travis Jesse is ably assisted by Andrea Cassino and Mauro Masi.'
