Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.

 

We continue to push things forward with everything we do, whether it is releases, festival stages or club nights....We always do it with our same founding ideals and will continue to do what we do best. Watch this space.

Had a club hit with "Exploding Time", which was a spin on the pink panther theme in a dubstep format.  My EP "Bass Snorter" released by Terminal Dusk was the result of a heavy acid trip, i sought "bubblyness" and crisp sounds, recording all manner of things in the process.

Smeerlapp, a 30-year-old musician and producer from the vibrant city of Hannover, Germany, is a true connoisseur of music's transformative magic. Smeerlapp's musical journey was complemented by an extensive education. He pursued a degree in music technology, culminating in a coveted Bachelor of Arts. This comprehensive knowledge enhances his understanding of sound's intricacies and dynamics. With this expertise in hand, he ventured into the world of teaching, becoming a self-employed tutor for aspiring musicians seeking to master production techniques and guitar skills. For six years, Smeerlapp has been sharing his knowledge, empowering others to unlock their creativity and find their own unique musical voices.
In addition to his work as a musician, producer, and educator, Smeerlapp has been a mixing and mastering engineer for the past five years. With an impressive portfolio of over 200+ releases under his belt, he has fine-tuned and polished the works of numerous artists, helping them realize their sonic visions.
From the early stages of his production journey, Smeerlapp delved into the harder side of Drum & Bass, a subgenre known as neuro funk. His exploration led to his first releases on prestigious labels such as Hanzom Music and Ram Records, setting the stage for a promising career in the electronic music world.
However, there's more to Smeerlapp's musical journey than meets the eye. From the age of 19, he has been an integral part of the metal music scene, shredding his guitar in a dynamic and passionate metal band. This experience adds another layer to his already diverse and rich musical background.
Notably, Smeerlapp's father, whose influence sparked his musical journey, continues to be a central figure in his life. They still play together in the same metal band, sharing their love for music and creating powerful, dynamic rhythms as a family.

Extra Medium is a Bristol born producer that has been taking on the influences of the city’s underground music scene and fusing it with Jazz music. 

His love for Jazz and obscure sampling has led him to fuse the rolling sounds of drum and bass and the big shuffling energy of UK Garage. Creating a unique and big take on bass driven dance music. 


His take on dance music has led him to create his own record label Thick Boy Records. A record label dedicated to the sounds of UK Garage, House and Drum and bass whilst keeping thick, fresh and funky.
