Red Alert is the new single and music video from Vietnamese Canadian electronic producer, filmmaker, and visual artist x/o, a life-affirming tale of pattern discovery, symbolism and intuition. 

The accompanying video, an ode to the Hong Kong neon soaked romances of director Wong Kar Wai, sees x/o as the protagonist in an unfolding narrative of blurred symbolism and sublime chaos. Through saturated neon cityscape we descend into a fictionalised inner realm; a journey of self-discovery, duality and catharsis.

Melancholic vocals collide with a flurry of distorted drum breaks, sirens and synth stabs, a blur of sonic texture reflecting in shards of reverb soaked vocals. A liminal poem about listening to one’s inner voice & protection from harm.

Introducing Ultra Instinct with their cover of Marcy Playground's "Opium." A collaboration between Steph Kretowicz and Ben Babbitt, the Los Angeles-based duo’s busted tragic loser pop draws on spoken word text, collaged field recordings, and live-mangled CDJ edits of original tracks to explore the time-tested ritual of combining words and song.

43°C, the debut LP by French electronic producer Basile3, is the result of a decade of cultivating a musical identity that focuses on hybridization, sonic recycling, and playfulness. The enigmatic title "43°C" signifies a haze of bliss (4+3=7, the producer's lucky number) backdropped by the ecological state of a world that’s grown slightly but surely warmer. In this intimate anticipation fiction, Basile3 offers a soundtrack that is an exploration of club music, electronica infused with r&b and ambient synths. The French producer warmly invites listeners to his state of mind, blooming with genre-bending floating soundscapes.

“I Believe” is the breath after the storm,
the moment when consciousness chooses to stay,
despite the fracture, despite the oblivion.

To believe means to rebuild oneself
with the fragments of what has been lost,
to transform pain into form,
and the end into possibility.

Faith is not elsewhere.
It lies in the very act of rising again,
and continuing to create light
even when the world holds none.

In a clearing in the orchard, wraithlike harpists cry sporadically to scatter the roosting jackdaws. Beneath the clearing, accessible through a slamming trapdoor, is a round, damp chamber, into which glide the monks from this morning. While one operates a steam organ, others peer through portholes, puncturing fatty membranes to release a tide of hot water. The monks pour upwards through the portholes into the vast space beyond; an orchestral hellpit.
