Solo work from Michael Stevenson of Statement Haircut

John Derek Bishop (alias Tortusa) is a Norwegian-American electronic musician and producer from Stavanger, Norway. He has released five albums on Jazzland Recordings and was nominated for the Spellemann Prize (Norwegian Grammy) for his solo album «I Know This Place». The albums har received good critics in the magazines Mojo, Prog Magazine, og Future Music. Bishop has collaborated with artist Arve Henriksen, Eivind Aarset, Jan Bang, Erland Dahlen, and more.

A cornerstone in Bishop´s production is the texture and timbre of sound. He searches for sounds that are out of the ordinary and places the listener in different emotional states. For compositional processes, he utilises both hardware and software equipment including retro tape recorders, modular synthesizers, samplers and a diverse array of other tools. His music is influenced by ambient, electronica and experimental jazz. 

On stage Bishop live-samples the musicians he plays with and uses this as his sound pallet to improvise with. Theses recordings are used to create chords, textures, melodies and rhythm. This way of improvising has been pioneered by Jan Bang. Bishop utilises modern sampling equipment to push the boundaries of this new instrument in improvised music. 

For several years, Bishop has been composing and performing for modern dance and performance art shows in Norway, England and France. He has made music for several short films including «Limerence», «Hyperspace» and «Across the dreams». Aside from making music he works with photography and has made the cover art for his albums.

Lectric Licks is a live/dj act duo by Snake SA and Gerry Liberty. With a passion for live and electronic music they wanted to come up with a new fresh sound. Lectric Licks plays deep house and melodic techno infused with live electric guitar, keys and synth licks.  Their sound come as a combination of smooth and powerful guitar & keyboard licks with some touches of cinematic sounds and powerful synth leads inbetween.  In a short space of time this duo's sound has proven to get people smiling and dancing in no time!

Michael Donoghue is a Rotherham born, Jersey based independent electronic artist, composing left-field electronica which draws in influences from several genres, including ambient electro, downtempo, techno, and IDM. 
 
Michael started to compose in 2017, releasing several singles and EP's under the pseudonym of Cosmosapien. In the summer of 2020, Michael stepped out from the shadows of his alter ego, and started releasing music under his own name. Since then he's released several singles and EP's, three solo albums, and a collaboration LP with fellow unsigned artist Pulses. In the process Michael has found himself on the radar of several independent radio shows, blogs, reviewers, and playlist curators. 
 
Several of Michael's tracks have been supported by BBC Music Introducing in the Channel Islands, and have also featured on many independent radio shows including Trust The Doc Radio, Supernova, In The Moog, and many more. He's made the coveted Fresh On The Net 'Fresh Faves' on several occasions, and in January 2022 received his first national radio play with the ambient track 'Overview Effect' making a chill-out special on Jaguar's BBC Introducing Dance Show on Radio 1.

Michael has released his most recent projects through the independent label Irregular Patterns, including his latest LP 'Time Machine'.
