Jade Ell is a Swedish artist and songwriter located in Stockholm, Sweden. As an established songwriter, she has participated on albums that have sold over 5 million physical albums worldwide  - and generated nearly 65 million streams. Jade has also been awarded by STIM, The Swedish Performing Right’s Society, as well as by SKAP (The Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers and Authors) and her songs have been recorded by various international artists, such as RBD (Rebeldes), #1 at Billboard Top Latin Album Charts (Mexico), Fey (Mexico), Diego (Mexico), Sanne Salomonsen (DK), Yuki (Japan), Natacha (CH), Sandra (DE) among others. She has lived for periods in US and London, and has also a University degree in English. Other assignments include translations of musicals (SPIN) 
- and producing songs for her own solo-albums and her new dynamic Swedish-Australian duo ”Ell & Hart” (see link for more info).

Xanima is a dramatic and visual artrock band from Stockholm, Sweden. Their music is a combination of pop-rock- electronica with symphonic elements. There are lot of catchy tunes, nice grooves and the album sounds excellent! It's music from the 20th century as we know from the 80's. This second album from Xanima describes the complex journey of a soul that's been chosen to be the model for the whole human kind - a "Prototype: Homo Sapiens". The music was already written by keyboard player Pelle Händén and vocalist Jade Ell in 2011 but it took some time until this year before the album was released.

As to be expected the album is dominated by keyboards played by Pelle Händén who manages to produce some stunning sounds from this instrument. Together with the excellent singing voice of Jade Ell they have succeeded in making an album that's entertaining from beginning to end. Xanima also is a strong live act with a powerful stage performance, including dancers and actors adding to the live show experience. Especially vocalist Jade Ell with her extravagant clothing stands out on the stage. Imagine a whiff of Kate Bush and Evanescence mixed with Toyah and/or Dalbello (remember her hit "Tango"?) and I think you've got a fairly good idea of what to expect from this album. The more traditional proggers among us might have some difficulties dealing with this album but I think even they will have to admit that this is a well produced album that sounds great! The album is consistently good, although there are a few tracks that jumped out and grabbed me more than others.

Examples are the title track "Prototype: Homo Sapiens", "Parallel Universe", "Mantra", "Eternal Truth", and "Sacred Sacrifice". On the tracks "Ritual Dance" and "Confession Chase" the guitar plays a bigger part. The conclusion is that Xanima isn't really progressive rock but just very good music. It's well worth a trip from "Prog Country" to discover new musical territories! If you did like Toyah and Dalbello in the past this is a must listen!Xanima fronted by the radio friendly vocals of Jade Ell, is dramatic and visual artrock to a tee. It's dark, light, fantasy - all put into a dreamy landscape. The songs of this the band's second album, is describing the complex journey of a soul - that's been chosen to be the model for the whole human kind - a "Prototype: Homo Sapiens".




Astral Dance (Pelle Handén) Pelle Handén started out in Stockholm in the mid 80’s. making the album: “Mindgate” an instrumental synth based mixture . Well received by the synth audience, continuing working with an album for LCM/CBS. “Beyond”, a majestic synth symphony.

 In 1992 ”Dreamscape” was released, an album with a new fresh soundscape at the spanish label Lektronic soundscape. Followed by a mini CD “David 256” -95, installation art music. After a number of years composing for TV and film, Pelle made his way into more pop based music. Together with the female vocalist Magoria releasing the album “The Divine Child”. A mix between electronica and pop.

After five years working with the Music City's elite (Nashville TN) including a collaboration with the dance icon Martha Wash, Helena is now back in her hometown Stockholm and releasing her debut EP ‘From the Ground Up’ in February 2014. Seven years ago, Helena Johansson bought a one way ticket to Nashville. Little did she know that she would wind up writing music for the dance icon Martha Wash and collaborate with Grammy award winning songwriters.
Helena didn’t know anyone in Nashville, but before long, resident fellow Swede Dan Ekbäck came in contact with her. A music industry veteran with a wealth of experience working with artists such as the country legend Garth Brooks and the Swedish singer Jill Johnson, Ekbäck was quick to spot Helena’s talent. After listening to Helena’s demo, Ekbäck introduced her to some of Nashville’s most prominent songwriters. Helena’s first foray into co-writing music was with Liz Rose, who is best known for penning many of Taylor Swift’s hits, including ‘White Horse’ which resulted in a Grammy for Best Country Song in 2010, as well as writing material for LeAnn Rimes and Jewel.
At the beginning of 2013 one of the songs Helena wrote during her time in Nashville, ‘It’s My Time’, was released by Martha Wash, the disco diva best known for the international hit ‘It’s Raining Men’. It was the second single from Wash’s comeback album.
From singer/songwriter to pop artist Over the years that followed, Nashville became home for Helena. During her time in the States, she met British producer Denis Ingoldsby, the music publisher and songwriter behind British pop sensation Delilah, dub step artists Flux Pavilion and Dr P and Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. They started writing songs over Skype and after many sessions she decided to move back to Europe in order to continue their collaboration. Ingoldsby's background within electronic pop influenced Helena to incorporate that sound into her own music.
“To start off with, my music was more singer-songwriter inspired, but with time and the more I wrote, I knew that pop music was the genre closest to my heart. I am so grateful for my time in Nashville and what it gave me, but I felt I was done with that chapter and the music I wanted to be part of was to be found in Europe,” Helena says.
