It’s the haunting urgency in R.EK’s tracks that captures the listener instantly. R.EK tears down the walls of conventions with monumental, technoid soundscapes that carry stories within.
Years and years of bringing his live sets to perfection were finally rewarded when R.EK was called to be one of the resident DJs of the prestigious Hive Club in Zurich, Switzerland. What sets him apart are his memorable live sets, where he’s able to pick up the audience’s mood, and to channel it into his music. The result thereof is the skillful bundling of the crowd’s energy—that is also projected onto his studio recorded tracks. Letting himself being inspired by this energy determines the versatility of R.EK’s music that mesmerizes with vehemence and gripping ease, all at once.
