This song was written a couple years ago when the wildfires in California were especially terrifying. Releasing it today feels especially prescient, when the degradation of our environment is a pressing issue. The narrator of the song sees the destruction happening to our world and looks to some higher power for an answer, and though they are unsure what this higher power is, they are willing to make a gamble and surrender their faith to it. Recorded in Brooklyn, NY.
