I found this in a folder I thought I'd lost years ago with a couple other ancient tracks from NINE FUCKING YEARS AGO. Holy shit I was 17 when I made this. And now these days I can't seem to accept this kind of repetition if my life depended on it lol. Oh well, I still think its pretty cool, especially given how early in my musical "career" it was made (its only a month older than my Ruiner remix). 

The Hand That Feeds (2nd Mix)

FINALLY an idea that uses something other than my go-to six string. This idea is the first time I've recorded more than just ambient shit with my RGA7. I'm still probably gonna try to get some new pickups in this thing at some point, but I think I dialed in a tone I'm at least happy with for now. 

I have absolutely no idea where I can take this idea, but I definitely see it as a sweet build at the end of a second verse, or into the outro of a song or something. I dunno. This is really just a tone test using a riff that popped into my head earlier today, and some practice with making a build up around a repeating progression. It's also my first attempt at recording in 6/8, which is... Different. Drum fills are much harder to come up with while staying in the groove of the track. But whatever. Maybe I'll keep messing with this idea, maybe I won't. We'll see.

Release (Sustained)

Another old NIN remix, this one from 2007. Nothing too fancy here either. I just turned it into a simple, kinda dark dancy track. It got meh reviews at remix.nin.com unfortunately. 

God Given (Remix)

One of my first serious remixes. Yeah, the pianos are cheesy and predictable in the buildup but dammit, I put work into this one lol. 

Survivalism (Remix)

For fans of: double bass, chinas, pianos and palm mutes, with a healthy dose of reverb and delay. I dunno what to call it besides ambient metal.
