We have been looking forward to this one for a long time!

Michael Walsh sent us some seriously beautiful beats and we couldn't be more excited to share Part One of his Mix-Ins mix (look out for Part Two soon). 

Michael has long been on our radar for his impeccable musical tastes and talents.  Since his earlier days in Boston working for Satellite Records, writing record reviews for Turntable Lab as well holding the role of Content Director for Dubspot,  we've always known that Michael would continue to do big things.  You can currently find him writing and doing photography for Ableton & other sites and if you're lucky you can catch him playing music in various venues around the world.  Admittedly Michael loves playing smaller and intimate gatherings where the music feels most special and we couldn't agree more.  We are thrilled to showcase his talents here.

"This mix for Monthly Mix-Ins was a departure from my usual DJ style. It’s been raining in California for three months and I didn’t realize until putting this mix together that I’ve been buying a lot of deep and somber tracks to weather the storm. These songs linger along a tangent of sound best heard alone in headphones in the morning rain. I used a combination of mixing records, CDs, wav files to create this journey."
