🇧🇪 Here is the sharing of some records I've loved (and bought in awesome shops in Brussels : Balades Sonores, Crevettes Records, Dust Dealers...) over the past two years. It presents exclusively Belgian-based artists - labels - productions. Almost 100% vinyl (a couple of digital tracks provided by the artists themselves), electronic music mostly, recent editions mainly (from 2019 to today). Obviously, it does not represent the diversity of musical production in Belgium. But, through a part of this local scene, I wanted (and I tried) to celebrate the wonderful cultural diversity of "my" country (three institutional communities, three official languages) and Brussels (which is, with 180 nationalities represented, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world). Absolutely on music, Torture the Artist's monthly radio show on [sic]nal airs from the famous bunker in St. Pauli, namely the Übel & Gefährlich club. Hosted by Marc Wolf and Holger Breuer the show is all about music, featuring up- and coming music as well as shortly released tracks. For the November episode Hamburg artist trio Falk, Natalie and Max, better known under their RSS Disco moniker, visited the premises to chat about future projects, including remixes and an album, how they made it through the pandemic and gave us and overview of shortly released and upcoming music on their label Mireia. Later on the three shared the decks to play one of their energetic sets.
