This was definitely one of my crazier sets of the last 10 years, and definitely one my favorite crowds. The dancefloor was packed, sweaty, stompy, and very hedonistically inclined at that hour. Based in Hanover, Germany, Bennet just recently started mixing their favorite records in quarantine. Their selections encompass forgotten acidy break-y and house-y records that channel affects of (self-)empowerment, queer liberation, agency and togetherness while not leaving out more recent publications and edits that seek for a reinterpretation and shift of past beats. Bennet is part of the DJ-collective Soft Spot which was founded by women & LGBTIQA+ in Hanover to open up spaces for experimental, electronic sounds & queer-feminist politics on the dance floor. When not spinning records, Bennet turns the pottery wheel or focuses on their Master's in Cultural Sciences, Media- and Gender Studies to later become a teacher.

Different Shades is a Malaysian DJ based in Melbourne. She is an extensive part of the multidisciplinary collective LOADING_ERROR and is also one half of the techno duo Concealed. She has been making waves around Melbourne's scene with a brand of diverse musical selections ranging from dubby, deep and emotive, to more bass-heavy and hard-hitting styles. She is perpetually shaping her sound to create a dynamic experience on the dance floor. To date, she has supported revered international acts including Pariah, Matrixxman, San Soda and Adriana Lopez. She is also set to perform at her very first festival when she takes to the stage at the upcoming Hopkins Creek festival in late November.
