xquisite releases is proud to present ‘Summer in Sexilia’ the new album by Cecilia @babiaudi

On the winding roads of escape, running away from the burning city's suffocation, in search of air, Cecilia drowns in the thick, elemental romance of Sexilia island.

The landscape oozes and recalls the radical desire of adolescent souls, a chaste and mystical resistance which flutters and strolls above through ditches, railroad edges, highway exits, stinking alleys owned by starving cats.

Sparse and sculptural breaths, the songs are drunk with melancholic infatuation.

“Summer in Sexilia” is a sensory encounter with the great despair in which the lover's courage takes shape once again, sublime, hanging on the memory of the shining stars.

In the hallucinated Summer of Sexilia, the ground trembles, the hands get dirty and the world craves for real tenderness and silent ecstasy.

! بينما نحن ننتظر فجر جديدا في ليلة قاهرية في وسط البلد، دارهذا الحوار بيني و بين صديقي العتيد/ أحمد عمران، بالأعواد لا الكلمات 

This is a conversation. A steaming dialogue between me and my good friend Ahmed Omran both using our OUDs instead of words one night in Down Town Cairo.. while we were waiting for the dawn of a new day.

S'agit d'un conversation. Un dialogue fumant entre moi et mon cher ami Ahmed Omran la fois en utilisant nos ouds plutôt que des mots d'une nuit dans Down Town Le Caire .. alors que nous attendions l'aube d'une nouvelle ère.  



Unconstitutional Conversation حوار غير دستوري

من قبل ما نفوت بفترة الحجر و نحنا عم نشتغل على تسجيل البوم جديد لإلنا و اللي هو ناتج عن كل شي عم نعيشه من سنة لهلق. و من أول يوم بالحجر و نحنا عم نجرب نقدّم شي كفرقة نخلي الناس تحس ولو لدقايق قليلة بالسعادة و بالتفاؤل، بين كل هالعتمة و الحيرة لي كلنا عم نعاني منها. تحدّينا حالنا و تحدّينا الظروف و قررنا نسجل أدوارنا كل حدا من حجره الصحي الخاص و بالإمكانيات لي منقدر عليها و بالدور نبعتهن لبعض نركبهن حتى قدرنا نبني هيدا الفديو. كل فرد من العيلة الكبيرة للفرقة قام بدوره لأنتجنا هالعمل الجماعي اللي برهن انو منقدر نكون أقرب لبعض من ما منتصوّر.  إننا قادرين نتشارك أعمق المشاعر و الأفكار حتى من دون ما نلتقى. 
كلّنا محبوسين ببيوتنا بكل دول العالم و كلنا عم نبرم بين الدواير و بين الأفكار. عم نعيش مرحلة بالفعل مفصلية بتاريخ البشرية كلّها، و كل لي منقدر نتمنّاه هلّق انو ولو للحظات قليلة الناس تحس بالقرب و الأمان و السلام.

Before the quarantine, we were working on recording our new album, which is inspired by our personal lives over the past year. Since the beginning of the quarantine we've been trying to work on something collectively, to try and make people feel a pinch of happiness and optimism even for a few minutes in the midst of all this darkness and confusion we are going through.
We challenged ourselves and the circumstances and decided to record each of our parts from our own personal home quarantine, with whatever was available and in turn, sent them to one another and stacked them so we could finally build this video. Every member of our big family had a vital role  in creating this project and we proved to ourselves that we can be closer than we thought we could be, regardless of the distance, and proved that we're capable of sharing the deepest, most sincere thoughts and emotions without even meeting. 
We're all stuck in our houses all around the world, turning in spirals inside our heads, witnessing a truly critical phase in the history of humanity. All we can hope for, is that even for a few seconds, we make people feel close, safe, and at peace.
