David Carus aka MC Cyclops worked on Capitol Hill, graduated from Georgetown University, became a high school English teacher, successfully led student protests over standardized testing, ran for Congress at the age of 25 and then moved to New York City to be a writer/recording artist where he met Dan Robinson who studied to be a classical composer, joined the 80's rock band Duck7, dived into electronic music and became the author of the Flommy the Robot science fiction series. Together, the X-Ray Poetz infuse every musical style under the sun to communicate a message that is literary, hard-hitting, philosophical and political, yet makes people want to dance, get up and go do something. The Arcane Insignia is an Acoustic Prog Rock band formed in New York City by Lodrö Nyima. The band consists of Cello/Acoustic Percussion/Classical 7 string Guitar & Vocals, influenced by different styles and acts from Tool to steven Wilson to The Contortionist and looks to incorporate different contrasts such as Neo-Classical with Metal while keeping the aesthetic entirely Acoustic. Their new album "A Violent Whisper" is set for release in 2024, with the lead single "Vagrant's Throne" available now.

He also performs as a rock singer at high-society private events in the NYC area and beyond, performing on over 500 gigs. He has achieved success together with his rock band OUTLOUD in the country of Greece, touring there and in Europe multiple times, appearing on national TV and also on the cover of Metal Hammer magazine twice, the country's largest rock publication. The band also has had multiple album licensing deals in Europe and Japan.   

He is also the lead vocalist for the Punky Meadows Band (guitar player from the 70's rock band ANGEL), of which the debut album came in at #7 on the iTunes Rock Chart, and on Billboard at #6 on the New Artist Chart and #136 on the Top 200, in June of 2016.

Additionally, he has been named Best Unsigned Artist in Starcentral Magazine in Australia and was featured on the home page of popular music-based social media site ReverbNation. His album "Road Not Taken" with NJ-based group Iron Bridge Band received a Grammy consideration for Best Rock Album for 2013, and again in 2016 with their sophomore album “Against the Grain”, this time in two categories:  Best Rock Album and Best Engineered Album / Production, and his song “American Boss” considered in two categories: Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance.
