Felix has been part of the UK's underground dance scene for the last 3 decades, learning his trade DJing at free parties and illegal raves and co-founding his first record label Ugly Music in the 90's.

He's produced records for well renowned record labels worldwide including DFA, Rush Hour, Eskimo, Golf Channel, Claremont 56, Futureboogie and his own labels Cynic and Ugly Music.

He has secured slots at well known clubs and festivals across the globe, and the last few years have seen him receive a lot more attention due to his high profile residencies for Block 9 (Glastonbury) and Croatia’s Love International as well as regular appearances at Houghton, Gottwood and Thailand’s Wonderfruit festival.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

Hey everyone...I make music because I love music and how it makes me feel. It's as simple as that. The music I create has to have feeling, and more often than not what I call 'the feeling' — that feeling that you get when the hair on the back of your neck stands up and demands your attention.

I'm heavily influenced by design and patterns. Reggae riddims are like mathematical formulas for me — the ultimate patterns waiting to be discovered. This notion of patterns can translate to any music...if you can make something with 3 or 4 elements that can capture an audience yet still be relevant generations later, you've done something amazing. 

Not all of my tracks follow that formula but I try to let the sounds and elements speak for themselves in any track.
