In this piece the Viola uses a subset of 22 EDO, an octatonic scale consisting of 0,3,5,9,13,14,18,20 steps. The piano uses the full range of the temprament.

Skew refers to the action that occurs when something deviates from its normal state under external influences. Although things that have been skew may appear very similar to what they were previously on the surface, in reality, they only appear so but are indeed fundamentally different.

In this work, I explored the "skew" that can be reflected in music, such as the "gradation" of two acoustics or playing actions that seem the same but are actually different, the slow transition of microtones and beat tones presentation forms between two sections sharing acoustic similarity, and the "skew" in the auditory perception induced by the audience being exposed to "homogeneous" acoustics for a long time... These factors, while they contradict, also unify, creating slow and smooth tension variations and drama while hinting at the layout of the overall structure.
