The June edition of Wayward brought together an amazing lineup consisting of Moray Rivers, Sage Farris, Major Trouble, and myself... and Major Trouble and I were also celebrating our birthdays (along with Ms. Trouble aka Rachael)! 🎵 Tala Berg liebt charmante Dark Tunes und fluffigen Bounce. Dabei sind ihre Sets stets wie sie selbst, warmherzig und immer für eine Umarmung zu haben. Auf der anderen Seite sind sie auch impulsiv, energiegeladen und zeitweise dark. Von Down- über Midtempo und Indie Dance bis hin zu Peaktime und dann wieder zurück zum treibenden Afterhoursound.
Tala Berg hat ihre Wurzeln in München und mittlerweile ist sie auch über die Landesgrenzen hinweg zu hören und zu sehen. Mit ihrem Feingefühl und Gespür für Crowd Control versetzt sie selbst steife Hüften in Schwingung und lässt die Hintern wackeln.

They called it Schneckno—a genre born half-jokingly at a lakeside jam, now adopted seriously by dancers who preferred to sway rather than stomp. Finally I got to set foot on one of the greatest festival grounds of The Netherlands: Wildeburg. For some reason it just never happened before. Because I wasn’t into raving yet, or because I didn’t manage to get one of those extremely popular tickets, and then I did two times but other plans took over.

This year I got to go, and finally experienced the magic myself. And I hope i brought a little bit of magic as well, with this set that took us into the evening. I tried to cross the bridge from Thommie G before me to the live band Mèraque after me, so you can expect a bit of a soft landing. Hope you enjoy!

Here is the recording of the liveset I played at cosy festival last Sunday! I am so happy I decided to hit record on this occasion, which I rarely do with live sets, but I had the feeling, like this one could be special and it was! It was such a huge joy to close this stage for the festival with the cutest crowd ever. I just felt a calm and warm joy with everyone happily wobbling to the downtempo flow, like everyone is taking deep happy breaths. It was exactly that deeply heartfelt energy I am missing on dance floors these days so often. So I am mega happy to have captured it and am able to share this with you guys. Its some old tunes, some new tunes, I hope you like it never the less <3

Tony is a musical storyteller shaped by depth, not algorithms. Raised in Zurich and mentored early by his handicapped uncle - a passionate audiophile who taught him to listen long before he learned to play - Tony discovered the emotional architecture behind sound while other kids chased melodies.

What began as a quiet obsession turned into a lifelong pursuit of tension, release, and the frequencies between. As an aficionado of underground culture, aka-Tony avoids the obvious. His sets are sculpted narratives—textural, cerebral, raw—spanning dubby margins, broken rhythms, and hypnotic progressions that reward the deep listener and the relentless dancer alike.

No gimmicks, no crowd-pleasing shortcuts. Just rare grooves, long blends, and a precise sense of timing that comes only from years in the booth and countless nights immersed in sonic detail.

Playing regularly across Zurich and Berlin, and hosting two podcast series, aka-Tony is part of a quiet resistance in electronic music—where taste still matters, and curation is a form of care.

Yaz is a San Francisco-based DJ who enjoys playing tech house, deep tech, minimal, and techno. He is an active member of the Burning Man community and underground house/techno community in San Francisco.

Yaz has played all over San Francisco at all the major venues, including Public Works, Mighty / The Great Northern, Monarch, Midway, and Halcyon. He was a resident DJ at the venerated Wish Lounge for 5+ years, running his monthly Wayward party right up until the pandemic caused Wish to close. Once it was safe to do so, he has taken Wayward to its new home F8 Nightclub, and has been a resident there since August 2021. 

Yaz has collaborated with many different promoters and labels, and has opened and closed for (or shared billing with) well-known artists including John Digweed, Bob Moses, The Scumfrog, Tommy Four Seven, John Monkman, Technasia, and Marques Wyatt, to name a few.

His love for Burning Man is only rivaled by his love for music. His styles go from deep tech, minimal and techno to indie dance. You can find him on the playa playing for his camp DeMentha, and everywhere else for The Janky Barge, Airpusher, and Icarus. Yaz has also participated in many fundraisers in San Francisco for the aforementioned camps, as well as DISTRIKT, Mayan Warrior, the Salty Jacks, and others.
