I've been part of The Naked World family for the past year and a bit - Behind the decks, on the dance floor and as part of the crew. I love celebrating the human beauty and these events have become my favourties. 

The Sheer Ball event was OUT OF IT and I had the privilege to perform 23:30 to 1 with chunky heavy beats. Enjoy x

The February 2024 edition of Wayward was a blast! I got to open the night, and warm up the decks for frequent collaborators Nick Granado (@hiiamlaus) and Ogan (@oganic), and fellow Montrealer Miss Lupin (@djxime) closed out the night for us!

CHI WOW WAH TOWN - Closing Set WAH Stage

This past visit to the Black Rock Desert in 2023, my wonderful friends at the Groundswell camp invited me to come play a guest set on the Kuker art car. As anybody who knows me can tell you, DJing on art cars and DJing at DeMentha are my two very favourite things to do at TTITD, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity. This was the set I played that Tuesday night in the deep playa. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Hope you enjoy!

Had a blast playing at the first edition of Psychedelic Bush Disco, the vibes were great, decorations and lighting on point, location stunning, the people were wonderful, it was just a really fun time.

i recently discovered a concept called "collective effervescence", a term coined by French sociologist Émile Durkheim - a fantastic expression of the experiences i'm fortunate to regularly participate in.. check it out.. so this mix is a medley of various slabs i played at our ultimate PlayGround shindig at Coorabell Hall in April and at Earth Freq's Mystic Valley burrow just a few days ago. Technology didn't quite come to the party at the time, hence the rerecording in a home setting... so recreate your own dust, ram yourself into the wardrobe and let it rip...  thanks of course to all the dancers, prancers, chancers and necromancers ❤️🪐🪲 and as a foot note, i've only just pulled back from organising events, not playing..... so if you've a gig for me, please call out ‼️🍄‼️

The 2024 festival season was filled from start to finish with good times, incredible music and amazing humans across all the wonderful events we played. This season we were asked by Earth Beat Festival to run a stage takeover right at the end of the season, what a way to cap it all off!

We put together a lineup the we are incredibly proud of; it was diverse, fun, filled with talented musicians and didn't cater to just one type of four to the floor. We asked our artists to record if they felt comfortable, we are very grateful that most of them did. We are also very grateful they are all allowing us to release their work.

Jumping forward a few sets into the night; the dancefloor was locked in and going off, it was wall to wall, heaving and sweaty. The perfect time for some techno, and in our minds there was no question about who we would ask to come and lay some down. Becky and Rayza have been our friends for years (Heylady says, "That's my bestie!"), we've all played each others gigs, we've partied together, supported each other, supported internationals together and jammed until the wee smalls in each others lounges. We wanted a techno act to follow on from our set (which we will release once we've put out all our other artists sets), so for us it was logical to get Becky and Rayza to take up the challenge. And take it up they did. In their words:

This is a warming up set I played at the 50th birthday party of good DJ friend named Götzlich. It was a cosy family setting party at a ranch in the green hills of pays d'Herve in Belgium. An audiovisualsoundspectacular  created by a crazy bunch of experienced party people with soul <3

Yaz is a San Francisco-based DJ who enjoys playing tech house, deep tech, minimal, and techno. He is an active member of the Burning Man community and underground house/techno community in San Francisco.

Yaz has played all over San Francisco at all the major venues, including Public Works, Mighty / The Great Northern, Monarch, Midway, and Halcyon. He was a resident DJ at the venerated Wish Lounge for 5+ years, running his monthly Wayward party right up until the pandemic caused Wish to close. Once it was safe to do so, he has taken Wayward to its new home F8 Nightclub, and has been a resident there since August 2021. 

Yaz has collaborated with many different promoters and labels, and has opened and closed for (or shared billing with) well-known artists including John Digweed, Bob Moses, The Scumfrog, Tommy Four Seven, John Monkman, Technasia, and Marques Wyatt, to name a few.

His love for Burning Man is only rivaled by his love for music. His styles go from deep tech, minimal and techno to indie dance. You can find him on the playa playing for his camp DeMentha, and everywhere else for The Janky Barge, Airpusher, and Icarus. Yaz has also participated in many fundraisers in San Francisco for the aforementioned camps, as well as DISTRIKT, Mayan Warrior, the Salty Jacks, and others.
