The second release on ninih is a package of personal stories by Amsterdam's https://soundcloud.com/eversines, truly captivating the sounds of the ninih label. He masterfully crafts densely layered and brooding soundscapes throughout the EP, appealing to heady listeners and vibing dancefloors alike. Transmissions of deep, swirling, cosmic synths coexist with ominous haunting echoes while warped chords slip in and out of focus. Weaponized experimental electronics blast off in a flurry of hard hitting kicks like a spaceship speeding through a sonic asteroid field before throttling back to an ethereal pace.

Firecracker’s dwarf constellation Unthank thaws down from a small cryogenic suspension and delivers it’s first 12”!

Tracks from the vault from Cardiff’s DJ Guy (Other World Music/Cejero/All Caps) who’s been busy since 1992. All tracks designed to be played loud and with the dance in mind whilst taking in all sorts of melancholy, euphoria and pastoral, acid soundscapes.

The water glimmered under the afternoon sun, each ripple or wave sparkling as if a thousand diamonds lay beneath its surface. It had been a long time since she'd seen the sea, longer than she could remember. Slightly overwhelmed, she made her way to the water's edge, a calming breeze ruffling her hair as she sat down and pulled off her shoes. Cautiously she dipped her toes in, allowing the waves to lap against her ankles for a moment. Then with a smile and a quick glance over her shoulder, she held her breath and dived straight in.

Predominantly shining a light on a wealth of exciting producers coming out of his home of Australia, Lou Karsh AKA Reptant's LKR Records has played host to the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Assembler Code, Bleekman & Daze, as well as several releases from Lou himself. Now looking across the pond to Montreal, Planet Euphorique boss D. Tiffany AKA Sophie Sweetland brings her atmospheric compositions to the label. Aptly named Cruel Trance, the EP floats through hazy, sub-aquatic electronics; from deep, percussive rhythms through to IDM-tinged bleeps, immersive dub techno and broken electro.

PREMIERE: D. Tiffany - Low [LKR Records]

Originally recorded to cassette, these five acidic tracks from Spanish-born producer and record store owner Dip Shim are a paean to his neighbourhood in Malmö, Sweden.

The breadth of styles across the EP is impressive, taking in uplifting techno, mid-tempo electro, banging acid, and ambient, all created with classic analogue machines, suffused throughout with that warm tape sound and sweet sweet 303.

There was a buzz in the chamber, the sound of electronics rumbled and reverberated in the tunnel beneath the great city of old. This was where the wheels went round, keeping the whole thing in motion. A city travelling underground accompanied by the sweet hum of chaos and fuzz. Some glanced at telephones, others read newspapers - they were all blissfully unaware of the complex engineering and the intricacies of the machine upon which they travelled. Perhaps it was best that way. 

Club In Theory is a record label which is shaping up very promisingly indeed, we were pleased with their first but now the second release on the imprint is here we have high hopes for something special. This EP comes from Aheloy! and features some playful electronics and delicate programming.
