bird bite

The newest single from Yutaniii is a 2-part song about exhaustion, burnout and living on autopilot. The song touches on themes of intent vs reality, the vicious cycles of insomnia and how it affects you and those around you during the day (part 1) and how it morphs into a more menacing and lonely beast in the night (part 2).

This is probably the most serious song the band have produced and charts the bands move from post-punk into a sphere that is more aligned with psych rock, prog rock and just a little sprinkle of hardcore as inspired by bands like Fat Dog, Squid & LoveRarely, as well as the sister band of the bands synth player, Neon Rituals. The synths are more beastly than ever before, the vocals are angrier than ever before and the catchy guitar melody sings like a grotesque 4-bar loop that echoes in the head of anyone who has ever suffered with insomnia.

An audio doodle that I jammed out when contemplating the ridiculous and physically impossible idea of a consciousness existing beyond the event horizon of a singularity. It's a fun thought though :)
