"AVE" is a song I wrote during a very difficult time, when I was going through love problems, as I wasn't being claimed by my romantic interest at the time because I am a transgender woman and he comes from an extremely Catholic family. He ended up choosing not to acknowledge our romance... The song brings together elements of rock and hip-hop, with sharp rhymes and a present beat, as well as the addition of violins and modulations of my own voice to sound like a Catholic men's choir accompanying me in the background. The song is extremely experimental, and it's an immersive experience for anyone who listens with headphones, because I wanted to bring the experience of singing rock in a church, so we have a well-constructed echo, an in-tune choir, and a shy vocalist singing about a broken heart! I hope you like my sound.
