‘Things I Do’, Edu Imbernon’s new EP on Stil vor Talent, once again demonstrates what makes the charming Spaniard so unique – there’s always an air of mysticism and romance running through his floor-ready tracks. Partly due to a strong understanding of atmospherics and effects, partly down to a knack for working with great vocal talents. Like on ‘Mystery Inside’, Sutja Gutierrez lends his voice to ‘Things I Do’, which bedazzles as it journeys through an arrangement of floating pads, spherical echoes and delayed synths. 

Next to the original version, Teenage Mutants delivers an excellent remix that focuses on Gutierrez’ vocals whilst building a low-slung house framework of driving high-hats, bittersweet melodies and a forceful bass line around it. Lastly, Los Suruba take you on a real trip as they reduce ‘Things I Do’ to a minimalist afterhours burner composed of eerie bleeps and acidic licks.

The sound of D-FLOOR is always moving mainly between Deep House and Tech House. This time we discovered a big deep house talent, Ivan Masa. He's an italian artist from Caserta.

This track 'Uzhù' is experimentally and organic at the same time, the perfect match between solid drums and african chorus. Played and supported by Solomun for months, it's definitely a track you would remember. That track is given the remix treatment by SIS, who brilliantly bring it to his world of 'shuffling surround sound'.

Japanese producer and Terminal M alum Drunken Kong chooses to remix Black Beauty, whose initial rolling bassline takes a step back, leaving way to a resonant construction made entirely of spacious elements: huge pads, grandiose synths and punchy kickdrums.

One of Branko and Niklas’ most elaborate productions, Tornado, undergoes the rework treatment from fellow label artist Transcode. The initial synth riffs receive added arrays of strings that back it up and contribute to an overwhelming, cinematic menace.

The exotism-infused Fafnir is the third track to be remixed, by none other than techno connaisseur Gregor Tresher. Its originally dense lead turns into a stripped down backdrop for polyrhythmic synth loops and syncopated kicks in a melancholic yet uplifting melody.

Release Info: 
The Italian Ivan Masa lands on Atmosphere Records for the very first time with his Muto EP. He provides 2 strong original tracks and on top of that a great remix by Bebetta & Cioz.

Muto is the first track of the EP, heavily supported by the big boss Solomun in his sets worldwide since a while. A strong kick drum, a powerful bass arpeggio, mysterious vocals and an uplifting 80's synth are the ingredients for this dance floor bomb. While the original has a proper techno feel, Bebetta & Cioz made an amazing remix with a more progressive touch, a perfect song for the final hours in the clubs.

Last but not least there's Onda, a second original track coming from Ivan Masa's creative mind. He told us he made the song at the beach and to us it does sound strong and consistent as sea waves! The energy of the track is powered by one drum machine and a hypnotising, continuous synth sound. We are very happy to have Ivan on board!

"A rare moment of beauty saw Rudy UK release "All Things Fade" to critical acclaim in March 2019. With one set of remixes already riding high, a second now sees Australian and UK talents continue the story.

With exquisite attention to detail, a unique approach to his craft and creativity in abundance, Jamie Stevens has been a central figure in the underground dance scene for over two decades. Able to call upon a wealth of experience from his ground-breaking Infusion moniker and solo career, the two-time ARIA award winner has carved out a crevasse-sized niche for himself with his live performances and incomparable production work. Performances at the renowned Fabric in London and Womb in Tokyo have been added to a long list of gigs in New York, Moscow, Singapore and across his native Australia. Production work has seen Stevens light up the catalogues of John Digweed's Bedrock, Guy J's Lost & Found and Cid Inc.'s Replug, to name but a few. Now making his Proton Music debut, the aptly titled, "Jamie Stevens Golden Return Remix" takes "All Things Fade" in a scintillating club-oriented direction, heralded in the opening stages with its intricately patterned percussive groove and syncopated synth stabs. Progressing effortlessly, a warm glissando bassline slides across the lower frequencies while the sumptuous piano refrains from Rudy's original appear seamlessly at the breakdown and into the second half. The result is a wonderful new interpretation that perfectly illustrates Stevens' exalted status as an iconic name within the underground dance fraternity.

Austrian based, Dan Orsen, is an artist of considerable repute. As renowned producer and A&R head of Cid Inc.'s Replug imprint, the UK born producer has found himself at the vanguard of modern underground house and techno. A growing but highly prestigious release portfolio has seen Orsen release a variety of original and remix production material on the likes of Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat and a wealth of material on Replug. A regular on Particles and Proton Music, June 2015 saw the three-track "Elysium" EP make its mark on the former, while a quartet of remixes for the likes of Roger Martinez, GMJ and Matter have made a distinct impression on the latter. Adding to his portfolio, a fifth now sees Orsen rework "Real You" to mesmerising effect. Using the components from Rudy's original to superb effect, Orsen has created a striking club-friendly remix that utilises a dynamic rhythmic groove and heavy beat. A filtered arpeggio adds to the dance vibe before gated pads provide a moment of textured intrigue at the mid-point. Building once more through the arpeggiated phrase, the track blossoms post-breakdown into a richly layered affair that showcases a wealth of additional production work from the Orsen studio.

With vivid new remixes from Jamie Stevens and Orsen, Rudy's success with "All Things Fade" shows no sign of waning.
