[April Fools 2021 - Doused Fell] A Kid to Kill

This replaces "Field of Hopes and Dreams" in the first of the three variations of Schreibertale + Deltarune, known as "Heliotrope." This one's for my (Slick's) personal college experience. Rock n' roll is a consistent theme throughout.

The main body of the college campus takes the place of the Field. It is revisited repeatedly, almost functioning as a hub world for the other areas.

The main motif, known as "Tropical Warfare," is by Alex Isaacson: dear friend of mine, Gaster 2 role, and guitarist of @vicioussummer.
The other motif, "two weeks," is by @calliefmusic: dear friend of mine, Kris role, and absolute lunatic.

As the 10th track uploaded for this take of Mortatoriel, I figured this would be a great time to upload a track dedicated to the One... the Only... The Great Papyrus!

Mortatoriel 1, the Flawed Pacifist ending, details an outcome in which a fallen human spared and befriended every monster except for Queen Toriel. Former king of monsters, Asgore, has finally returned to the throne after his long exile. Hoping to atone for his mistakes and abandon his declaration of war, King Asgore has instated a new policy detailing that humans are to be treated fairly, with kindness and friendship.

Papyrus keeps his Underswap role. This cool dude has been given an exciting new job by royal scientist Undyne - he's now Sapphire Sands' local inventor, and Undyne's assistant! He aims to help everyone out much like Undyne, in addition to guiding the next fallen human towards a peaceful journey in the Underground. After all, the last human verified one of his key beliefs - everyone can be good if they try their hardest!

Althrough Flowey retains his role in the AU, he shares company with Buttercup, whom is... A strange, talking flower who, just like him, tends to randomly appear from the ground between various places, always observing and having a rivarly with him. No one has ever seen them both for real, and no one knows where they really came from. However, when a human falls and breaks their fight for dominance towards the timeline, Buttercup decide to diverge from her rival's presence and plan the unpredictable.

Fable of the Forsaken is an AU that takes place in the aftermath of a True Pacifist Run. Mt. Ebott, ravaged by the explosion of the CORE, is inhabited by a whole new slew of eldritch monstrosities. Follow the unassuming human Nex on their quest to stop the Protothers from exacting their revenge...one way or another.

Upon death, Nex is visited by the spirit of an ancient human. This ancient human is the one who helped banish the Protothers deep beneath the earth millennia ago. This "First Human" could technically be classified as taking the Chara role. The Protothers see a lot of this First Human in Nex...perhaps Nex is even their descendant?

We're back! Sorry for the long delay, we'll try not to let it drag on this long going forward. We have other tracks ready, just need thumbnails done for them.
Anyways here's an AU that doesn't get talked about much, Underpage! While it never got "rebooted," it did exist in two separate years, having one burst of tracks around this time in 2017 (wow, 4 years ago, time flies), and once again in late 2018. It's nice when AUs have their resurgence like that, even if it's only short lived.
We haven't heard from Limesar (the AU's creator) in over a year, but we hope they're doing alright.

For context on the song and thumbnail, Toriel takes the role of Flowey/Asriel, and Mettaton takes the role of Asgore.

Syskonbråk-sviten – Helhetsbeskrivning

Syskonbråk-sviten är ett konceptuellt musikprojekt i fyra delar, skapat av Nordic Soul Syndicate. Varje EP speglar en egen musikalisk värld men binds samman av temat: syskonlika konflikter mellan genrer, känslor och uttryck. Från lo-fi-indie till psykedelisk jazzrock, från progfusionens kaos till soulens och gospelns försoning. Tillsammans bildar de en musikalisk resa – från första repan till sista ackordet – där varje skiva är ett kapitel i samma berättelse.

2. Malå – The Deeper Cut

The Deeper Cut dyker rakt ner i psykedelisk jazzrock. Orgel, wah-wah-gitarr och funkiga rytmer som slingrar sig mellan kaos och kontroll. Här möts 70-talets dekadens med en modern nerv, som ett jam i en rökig källarklubb där ingen riktigt vet vart låten är på väg.

2. Malå – The Deeper Cut

Här börjar resan gå djupare, mörkare, mer psykedelisk.

Flesh Wound Funk svänger som ett gammalt 70-talsjam, med orgel och wah-wah-gitarrer som trasslar in sig i varandra. Det låter som ett soundtrack till en film som aldrig spelades in.

Paper Cut Blues är släpigare, nästan dekadent – en låt som luktar cigarettrök, svettiga väggar och smältande lava-lampor.

Crimson Samba är kapitlets klimax: en rytmisk explosion där kaoset tar över och gitarrerna skriker som från en annan dimension.

Kapitel 2: Malå – The Deeper Cut

I Malå djupnade allt. Det var här musiken började drömma, här som 70-talsorgeln väckte gamla spöken.
Flesh Wound Funk var som att stå mitt i ett kaotiskt vardagsrum med väggar av röda sammetsgardiner och höra någon spela ett beat som aldrig ville ta slut.
När Paper Cut Blues satte igång, var det som att hela huset började luta. Wah-wah-gitarrerna grät, trummorna snubblade, och någon skrattade i bakgrunden.
Men det var Crimson Samba som sprängde ut i full dramatik. Ett dansande inferno där rytmerna slogs mot varandra, som syskon som vägrar sluta bråka men ändå dansar i samma takt.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore III, the Exiled Queen ending, details an ending in which only Undyne and Asgore have been killed. Toriel tried to claim the throne, but threats of a coup quickly sent her back to the Ruins. Now the Underground is in a state of instability and semi-anarchy. Humans are to be treated as...well, it's unclear right now, but it's not good.

Napstablook somewhat keeps their own role. You don't meet them in the Ruins, but you can still find them manning the snail ranch in Waterfall. Every once in a while their cousin even comes to visit, so that keeps their spirits up a little bit. Is that a pun? I guess so.
