Besides playing alongside a long list of respectable names (Daniel Bell, Vera, Dorian Paic, Margaret Dygas, DJ Masda, Rhadoo, Nina Kraviz, Prâslea, Evan Baggs, Mathew Jonson and Nicolas Lutz) in his country Japan, he also played gigs in Europe of which perhaps the most noteworthy are the ones in Ibiza where Rhadoo managed to return the favor by inviting him for his party in Underground Club. Colin de la Plante, better known by his stage name The Mole, is an electronic music artist who has consistently delivered multifaceted gems since his emergence in 2005. Unlike many in the music industry, his work does not cater to trends and fads, but instead is guided by his own, often esoteric style. His patient and deep tracks immerse listeners in weird and wonderful places, bridging house, ambient, and everything in between - as is befitting of a man who's released music for the likes of Ostgut Ton, Perlon, Kompakt, Wagon Repair, Circus Company and more.

While The Mole has always surprised his fans with his work, his latest LP, "The River Widens," feels like a significant departure, with a series of tracks that rarely topple the four minute mark. Now back in his native Canada after a lengthy stay in Berlin, we certainly caught the man at an interesting - and reflective - juncture in his career. Alexandra Onofrei known as Lexia Majora is a Romanian DJ based in Exeter UK, where she’s also doing her PhD (at the University of Exeter). Her research looks at the rominimal community and the rominimal genre, exploring questions of identity in this group. As a DJ, Lexia Majora played warm up sets for artists such as Daniel Avery, Mall Grab and Peach. She enjoys playing hard groove and Berlin techno, but also rominimal as this helps her to stay connected to her Romanian roots.

This mix contains some of Lexia Majora’s favourite rominimal tunes, and explores her love for wonky sounds as well as jazzy grooves and classical music.

Christopher Ledger & Soms brought us a 74 mins music podcast with their unique and special touch. Somewhere between elegance, melancholia and yearning a silver lining of hope.

These two italian guys met up back in the 2014 in the wonderful city of Milan where Soms had just graduated at SAE while Christopher was studying music programmation (Max/MSP) and history and philosophy of music and art in a specialized institution.

Being both multidisciplinary artists and once having introduced each other to their approach and vision on art, the connection was instantaneous and kept growing in a very natural way as time passed.

Their collaboration goes on since several months and after different audio results, file exchanges and long talks on their visions and interests, they feel ready to put out their works anytime soon, releasing music mostly together but keeping their single artistic names.

It is with great pride and gratification we announce that Triptease is joining our roster.   In order to celebrate the occasion we decided to put out their recording from Perfect Sundays x Yoyaku night at Hoppetosse last December.

Triptease is a cutting edge musical experiment performed by Topper, Jacopo, Francesco and Hugo, conceived in Turin and then transplanted in Berlin in the mid 2000s. Triptease live is a vision born on one of those inspired morning hours, opening up new ways of looking at the world. 

The idea behind their live performance stands for the best traditions of electronic music itself. They blend together polyrhythmic grooves and harmonic atmospheres in an uninterrupted flow of sound layers. Their live performance recreates the dynamics of studio improvisation where synths, guitars, samplers and drum machines interweave together endlessly.

Triptease performed live at iconic venues such as Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse in Berlin, Fuse in Brussels, Mutabor in Moscow, Studio 338 and Red Gallery in London amongst others delivering hours of everchanging beats and sparkling musical ideas.

Many musicians and producers - to name a few Claudio Puntin, Cesar Merveille, Yonatan Levi, Greg Paulus, Ion Ludwig, Samuel Roher and Daniele Papini -  have joined their improv project through the years and contributed to the experimentation.

From this perspective, their live set crosses over between music and technology, with its power to form networks and scenes that are a catalyst for creation and transformation in the form of live and studio performances.

Their debut album “Mescaleros” will be out on Visionquest in 2020.

Connecting the dots between the US’s and the UK’s early house and techno scenes and the more contemporary sounds of today’s dance floors, Your Only Friend is a DJ and Production Duo formed by longtime friends and collaborators Tres Manos and Steve Ferrand. Based in the thriving party Mecca of Barcelona, they are at the forefront of a new wave of artists blurring lines between genres and bringing diverse crowds together.

Both DJ’s have long histories as individual artists; Steve was a fixture on the UK’s free party and festival scene and Tres was a pioneer in the US’s club and warehouse scene. They would both eventually relocate to sunny Barcelona, where they met and began collaborating in 2005. Bonding over a mutual love of the underground music scene, they became among the most respected DJs and producers in the city.

As individual artists, both went on to put out releases on prominent labels Urban Torque, Dessous, Pack Up And Dance, Detour, Om Records, Justified Cause, and many more. As they became more and more well known in their scene, they teamed up to form the group Your Only Friend and the label of the same name to share their love of underground house and techno and help expose their favourite up and coming artists to a wider audience. The label featured releases and remixes from artists Joshua IZ, James Flavour, Rick Wade, Lady Blacktronika, Last Mood, and many more. Support from DJs and producers like Laurent Garnier, Tony Humphries, Funk D’Void, Andy Cato (Groove Armada) and Luke Soloman helped them establish an international presence.

In the ten years since their founding, Your Only Friend has gone on to became an institution. Both members have had successful solo projects, with Steve’s project ‘The Groovers’ scoring a hit on Brooklyn’s notorious Razor’N’Tape label with “Where You Belong,” as well as appearances on labels like Silver Network, Deep&Disco and Editorial, and Tres maintaining residencies at Zoo Project in Ibiza and Davide Squillace’s This And That Parties as well as collaborations with some of the musicians who inspired him in the first place, including remixes for Chicago legends Derrick Carter and Johnny Fiasco.

As they celebrate their ten year anniversary, look out for fresh music and lots more performances from the duo as they look forward to another decade of making people dance!
