The Independent Label Index is a constantly growing online archive of electronic music labels, which was created by Patrick Wendtland's master's thesis and in cooperation with Callshop Radio. The chronological overview shows the location-dependent and musical diversity of house and techno music and its historical development within Germany. Since the 1950s, numerous musical styles have had their origins in independent labels, especially in the many genres of electronic music.   Many of these labels do their valuable work away from the media spotlight and in the underground. In order to give these labels more visibility, an index of these independent labels has been created in the form of a website. It shows the chronological development of house and techno in Germany and also lists some of the most important information about the record labels. A project that is to be completed with the support of the community.   In order to show the importance of independent labels for musical diversity, interviews were also conducted with protagonists of house and techno culture about some of them. These interviews are part of the index and contain additional information about the labels and their influence on the development of electronic music.

Deep House Therapy w/ Marcus Nilla - 25.09.24

Since his last appearance on the show, @samadhiflow has become a familiar name in and around Seattle for his deep, pumping house selections, particularly through his residency with Reflect, hosted every first Tuesday at High Dive.

Additionally, he's recently been found behind the decks at Tremulant's Luminosity festival, Space Oddity's Ambrosia, the Bottom Forty Campout, as well as Seattle clubs Massive & Monkey Loft. When not behind the decks, Xander is often serving tea in lounges adjacent to the dance floor.

By day, Samadhi Flow is known as Xander Heaton, a practicing LMT, and a movement coach specializing in yoga, strength, acroyoga, and steel mace vinyasa.

On top of all this Xander has always been a good friend of the Portal, so it's a pleasure to welcome him back to the show.

"My weekly trips to the Yoyaku store and the releases of my Deep Moments records with Yoyaku's distribution branch inspired this little summer mix.

After playing House and Techno for 30 years or so, I am always hungry for discovering new styles and movements and Sebastien Belguise at the Yoyaku store is a great help for this!

It's so much fun meeting music lovers such as my many friends in the various Parisian record stores, whether that's Syncrophone, Techno Import, Betino’s, Superfly or Heartbeat - all of them have their individual identity and it is true music lovers running them.

Benjamin Belaga really gave me the freedom to experiment with my Deep Moments label. Both this mix and the label are feelings and emotions I get while being exposed to Yoyaku's universe and how i translate them within and through my own culture.
