At the tender age of 18, the Yugen Kala brothers have honed a cutting-edge sound inspired by the outer reaches of club music. For SonarMix 008 - recorded in their hometown, at Mondo Club in Vigo - they go from 90 to 180 pm in under an hour, shifting through avant-garde electronics, weightless grime, footwork, and all kinds of forward-thinking club music.

Last night, i kinda got to play the dream closing set at the dream gig at the dream venue (Kuedo headline show @ Iklectik London)
It was recorded. But my mixing was disastrous.

As soon as i got home, after a bunch of listening of the original recording, I attempted to do it again, just once, and here it is. 

Mixing defo better yet still very meh, but I've decided to post it raw as it is anyway.

There is maybe a couple minor playlist discrepancies compared to the original.

“Despite the exotic origin of the name of this new artistic project, Yugen Kala emits its sound message from the Galician Atlantic coast. Formed by two young people who began crawling through the recording studio of his father, (Engineer / Producer and owner of a venue) .Therefore he had grown up between mixers, synths, musicians, instruments and all kinds of analog junk It is not surprising that they are truly passionate about music. It does surprise a maturity and bet without complexes for abstract sounds within the most avant-garde and underground electronica.

Common as avid listeners and spectators of festivals such as Sónar, MIRA, WOS, Semibreve or Sinsal, their first mixtapes, are full of energy and loaded with a multitude of styles, dark electronics and arid gear poly-rhythms, where technique and good Taste transmitted from the minute one, his passion and love for the music with which they immediately attracted attention for the unconventional of his style, some of them reaching the number 1 of the mixcloud platform charts, and in which Denzel Curry He lives with Sophie, Objekt, Overmono, Ploy or Sinjin Hawke. In the middle of this year they appeared live in the prestigious Dutch stations Red Light Radio and Operator Radio and Red Bull Mix.

In parallel, at the end of summer they finished the production of their first album, “Nothing is Original”, with 14 tracks in a Mixtape format that fluctuates between the IDM, Bass music, dark electronica and ambient whose release is scheduled for 2020.
