Kostya Kokokei @kokokei is the co-founder of the label “Mestnost” @mestnost-records. For him, context is just as much a part of any musical work as the author’s vision, the selection of samples, and the synthesizers used in recording. Kostya is deeply immersed in working with sound — he mixes and masters most of the releases coming out on “Mestnost”, as well as producing works by various artists.

The sound of Kokokei is intellectual electronics tagged with IDM, lo-fi, trip-hop, post-balearic, and ambient. His tracks are equally fitting for home listening and for large open spaces. His releases receive positive critical feedback and make their way into the sets of masters such as Vladimir Ivkovic.

At Dub Raw Weekend, Kokokei will perform live tracks from his release “Mandarin” on “Mestnost”, as well as material soon to be released.

Low End Therapy is back in its label form: presenting you today with LOW002 aka “Minor Details” the new EP from Bristol native, former Vietnam resident, Berlin based producer Insomniast! The EP is urgent, ominous, bass heavy, and just feels right for the dance.

“Minor Details EP” is a selection of tracks that seem like they wrote themselves. The EP name reflects the process of finishing the music, which consisted in polishing only minor details.
The EP ranges across the 130 - 145 bpm spectrum. At times it’s dark, dubbed out and trippy like “Without U”. “The Only One” is playful with a grimy bounce which lightens up the general menacing vibe of the EP. “No Filter” goes raw and fast: no BS, just full energy. “What It Takes” closes the EP by helping us land gently in groovy and sultry territories.

Taken from the upcoming mini-album The Myth Crumbles, the Mystery Remains, out on traverse, "At Your House (David’s Tribute)" is a meditative dive into Tonito Yama’s shadowy, jazz-dub universe. The track plays like a hazy memory—melancholic, cinematic, and bass-heavy—unfolding with the slow tension of a lost film noir. A heartfelt homage wrapped in mystery, it's a glimpse into a world where the myth may crumble, but the atmosphere lingers long after.

French producer @synalegg returns to @ooh-sounds with Computer Series / Last Run - the final chapter in his radical generative music experiment. Built in Pure Data, Synalegg’s system composes autonomously, creating immersive, unpredictable sound worlds that blur the line between human design and machine logic.

The result recalls Autechre’s algorithmic precision, Jimmy Edgar’s Michaux project, and the mechanical curiosity of Aphex Twin’s Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt2 - yet feels entirely its own. Glitching rhythms, fractured harmonics, and fleeting human cadences emerge from the code, forming an uncanny balance between control and surrender.

A bold statement on authorship, automation and abstraction —-Computer Series / Last Run closes Synalegg’s exploration of machine-driven composition.

Hey everyone, Shine Grooves here.
It’s time to share a few highlights from all the releases I put out under my alias Quadrat back in the early 2010s. I picked one track from each release and compiled them into a new EP.
Fun fact: every Quadrat record was transferred straight to vinyl, completely unmastered — in other words, the distributor used my original files without any additional processing. I actually found this out many years later. Most likely, it was done just to save costs.
The new release we’ve put together with FAM has been properly remastered (or rather, mastered) — and it sounds great.

Hailing from Taipei, Taiwan, a city with a thriving nightlife that goes until the wee hours of the morning, Yuka grew up with the rise of the electronic music scene in Asia. Yuka cut her teeth as a producer and DJ in London in Camden Town.

While living in London, Yuka effortlessly bridged the underground to the mainstream in a male-dominated industry. She has opened for electronic artists like Cosmic Gate, The Crystal Method, Audien, Valentino Khan, Poolside, and Eric Prydz, and also live bands such as ALO, The California Honeydrops, and Rebirth Brass Band all while playing in premiere venues and nightclubs all over London, East Asia, and North America. Yuka sings and plays the Chinese flute, and DJ’s regularly with live musicians who play the Guzheng (古箏), violin, bass guitar, trumpet, and didgeridoo.

Yuka’s career highlights include: playing on the Insomniac Camp OG stage at EDC Las Vegas, playing at Ministry of Sound (London), and playing at Oil (Shenzhen).
 
In 2019, she founded the artist exchange program Nu Tekno and has been hosting events regularly since 2020.  Nu Tekno currently has monthly residencies at the Endup, Lion’s Den and Mars Bar in San Francisco.
