'Far Away Place' is Xinobi’s forthcoming single that anticipates his new album to be released on 24th of March. This track echoes 90s Deep House peppered with Pop sensibility. The tracks swoons with layers of texture; delicate female vocals, cascading water soundscapes, drum machines, and light synths. 
The core of the track is the hypnotic Techno loop that Bruno Cardoso (Xinobi) masterfully crafts. 
'Far Away Place' exists in a space between Pop, Ambient, House and Techno, yet successfully translates as an elegant radio ready track. There is something undeniably upbeat about the track. Living up to its title, the track gives you the optimistic feeling of driving down the California coast, off towards far away destinations.

Unsere Nr. 149 kommt heute von einem formidablen Duo, welches mich seit knapp einem Jahr ununterbrochen musikalisch begleitet. Ich erinnere mich noch sehr gut an ihren Rebellion der Träumer Podcast … Der haute mich schlichtweg um. Seitdem komme ich nicht mehr um Sie herum. 

Die Rede ist von „Kahl & Kæmena“, einem ehrlichen und unkomplizierten Berliner Duo, welches dank ihrem einzigartigen Stil in und um Berlin herum ihre Duftmarke versprühen. Neben ihren musikalischen Wohnzimmern im Klunkerkranich oder in der Rummelsbucht bespielten Sie so gut wie jedes nahmenhafte Festival in Deutschland. Vollkommen zu Recht wie ich finde. Schließlich bewegt sich Ihr verspielter, gar schon entspannter Sound irgendwo zwischen Traum und Tanz, der sich deutlich von der der Masse abhebt. 

Das eingespielte Set ist eine herrlich ‚afterhoureske‘ Reise ins Dickicht der melodischen und verträumten elektronischen Musik geworden. Das Set ist bestückt mit einer Vielzahl von aktuellen, als auch schon etwas älteren Nummern die aber nichts an ihrem ursprünglichen Glanz verloren haben. Hauptverantwortlich ist das durchgängig reduzierte Tempo, welches die jeweiligen Tracks erst zur ‘wahren‘ Entfaltung kommen lassen. Dazu technisch harmonisch vermischt. Da kommt Stimmung auf. Und was für welche. Egal ob Hypnose, Tanz oder pure Emotionalität, es erwartet euch definitiv eine durchweg eingängige Geschichte, die auch Nicht-Kenner überzeugen wird. Für mich definitiv Musik, die man wahrhaftig zu jedem Anlass hören und erfahren kann. 

Wir danken euch vielmals für dieses besondere Set. Sinnlich umwerfend und unverschämt gut. Wenn Unikat, dann Hier. Chapeu.

"For about two years, after the release of my latest album I decided to come back to proper dance music, I did a few collaborations with Polo&Pan, Fatnotronic and Bertrand Burgalat, all track about DANCE, to be played in club.
Rollercoaster is somehow the climax of this, really simple, straight to the point, house and disco with a unique string melody coming all along and two drops.
I think it’s a bit like an indie song with only two chords, the essence of how it has to be.
I played this all summer, and no one complained. It remind me a bit of the first Cassius tracks, so with the terrible news we had recently I consider this as a tribute to a friend and one of my mentors."

After a well received first EP on Lowup records, Nüfrika (Pekodjinn & Rolv.K) are back with a remix EP.
First up is Kensaye, a London based producer, DJ & radio host. Here at Lowup we’ve been quite a fan of his production work lately. He takes on ‘Tsévié’ giving it a slightly rougher feel and adding some percussion as well. Great track to start the party.
Next up is DJ Danifox with ‘Premier Sentier’. He turns the original intro track into a 6 minute workout fusing elements of deep house and what we came to know as the Lisbon sound. A highly addictive, deep and trance inducing workout, adding some lush vocals as well. Danifox is part of the Tia Maria Produções (Principe discos).
For the next remix we remain in Portugal, Pedro takes on ‘Onisan’. This Enchufada collaborator with a freshly released album, stays close to the original while adding his personal touch. The result is a smooth afro baile dance track, just as we like ‘em.
Lowups own Max Le Daron remixes ‘Fayudan’. Adding some bass and thus giving it a more Uk flavour. Also be on the lookout for his album, due soon on Akwaaba.
