When Gus first met June it was under the moon
It was the warmest of nights, he'd never seen such a sight
On a night full of lights, it was Junie's green eyes
They made the grand finale seem like fireflies 
The bolt, it had struck, you could see it for miles
When Gus told sweet June that he liked her smile
And soon those two kids were attached at the hand
And he thought to himself, my god, this is grand
You see, life is a dream for the luckiest few
So if you count yourself blessed here's what you should do
Just drink it in

Savor the taste
Before it's too late
And so, Gus and June, if their love were a cup
Well, it did overflow, yeah, two ain't enough
So two became three, a new branch on the tree
A lovely newborn, her name was Simone 
And their little crew, so full of mirth 
Did bask in the glow of summertime's warmth
And so, Gus and June, they got to that part
Where their days spent together outnumbered apart
You see, life is a dream for the luckiest few
So if you count yourself blessed here's what you should do

But everything ends, the longest of tomes
Mountains and kings, the brightest of suns
The wonders of worlds do one day dissolve
Like canyon echoes, like the greatest of loves
Gus did miss June, she left him too soon
Her death put a scar on the face of his heart
It was the sheerest of grief, a hillside too steep
He knew in his heart he wasn't long for the Earth
So Gus did look up, he said, Junie, wait up
I'll be there real soon but I got one thing to do
He went to the home of their daughter, Simone
And he told her something that he learned long ago
He said, life is a dream for the luckiest few

Amy Fear is . . . a homing-beacon for ghosts . . . a victory of love over nostalgia . . . a dream inside a machine . . . 

Amy Fear is a long distance musical love affair between three old friends living on three separate continents. Since forming in early 2012 the band have rarely met face to face, choosing to communicate by songs transmitted through the ether. Amy Fear’s music embraces eccentric electronica, fuzzed up garage rock and folky melancholia. With no presence in the material world Amy Fear doesn’t have to lift any heavy amps and is free to indulge every creative whim.
