I played music from my entire library having no set list prepared and choosing from both new and old tracks. This is the magic that unfolded. I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. Celebrating 19 years of Pink Mammoth on Saturday was completely surreal and to think this year will be our 20th as a camp at Burning Man is mind blowing 🤯 — what a beautiful journey. The night was made extra special by having some of the original PM family, that is spread across the country, physically there with us in San Francisco. 

And to add the cherry on top 🍒, Tara Brooks being back on the decks with us was a treat in and of itself. Truly a magnificent family reunion in every sense and I am excited to continue the festivities in New York with Tim Green and Alice Iguchi on Mar 18. Until then... I give you this mix and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it.

Pink Mammoth 19 Year Anniversary - San Francisco 2023

After shutting down the bot following an incredibly powerful and meaningful temple burn for our camp, many of you thought that was the end of our 2022 Burning Man. However, a few hours later, the bus appeared in deep playa with Nico Stojan at the helm, just in time for one last sunrise. Here's looking forward to many more surprises and unscheduled moments together in 2023.

"What an honor it was to return to the Robot Heart bus for the final sunrise set of last year’s Burn! 

Originally, the Robot Heart team wasn’t planning on playing music Monday morning, so I was super happy when they asked me to play the last sunrise on the playa.

When I arrived at camp early Monday, the RH crew was just waking up and the bus was still sleeping, but there was an excitement in the air - so often it is those unplanned experiences at Burning Man that create the most magic.

We drove out to deep playa in the dark and before long had gained a wonderful crowd, everyone coming together to dance away their final hours in the dust. People were exhausted, but also energized from their week in the desert and not ready to return to the default world.

It was a super chilled last sunrise set that I thoroughly enjoyed - an unexpected morning that turned out to be unforgettable!"

Hard to believe it’s been half a year since I uploaded my last set on Soundcloud. I’m happy to share this recording from The Bow in Buenos Aires, recorded last month. 

If you’ve been following over the years, it’s no secret that The Bow holds a special place in my heart as one of the best places in the world to play, since the Argentinians are some of the most passionate music lovers I’ve ever seen. 32 hours of travel for a 3 hour set (and 3 steaks) is well worth it, every single time.

It brought me sheer joy to return to Lightning In A Bottle,  playing music on two of its most legendary stages: The Junkyard (formerly known as The Favela Bar) and The Woogie. Throughout more than a decade, I've been fortunate enough to witness LIB's incredible evolution into the spectacle it is today, both as a devoted attendee and a passionate performer. This journey has played an influential role on my music, my life, and my community and I am profoundly grateful for it.
