Mi amor de todos - new places, people, and times to be shared. I have a love for it all, every moment I hold dear.

Through music and dance, community and creativity, Zach Walker offers to each person he encounters the opportunity to uplift and raise their own vibration into higher states of love through meticulously composed sets and his own dedication in cultivating purpose, vision and transformation.

A youthful entry into the world of dance music, Zach began attending Burning Man at age 16 and soon after made himself a cornerstone of the long standing day party and production house, Pink Mammoth. It wasn’t long until he became an integral fabric in the culture of the dance community. You can find him before or after a gig checking out local vegan fare while kicking it in Chuck Taylors, an organic cotton tee and a big smile.

Zach has played notable clubs, festivals, and parties all over the world; Further Future, Envision Festival, Desert Hearts, SXM Festival, and Lighting In A Bottle to name a few.

This year at Burning Man, just in time for the inaugural Heart & Soul sessions from Robot Heart and Thievery Corporation's 20th anniversary, we finally had the honor of hosting Thievery Corporation on the Playa.  Three years in the making, the product of serendipity, determination and a lot of team work, here is that amazing, unannounced sunset performance at the Robot Heart camp before an audience of thousands of burners. Thank you Dave Geller, Elliot Dunwoody, Pascal Pharmacon and the 18-person team from Thievery Corporation for helping make our collective dream come true!

For pretty much the whole year I’m either headed towards or away from Burning Man. 

Each year out there there’s this moment in space and time where I feel perfectly balanced between the two. It’s a moment where time stands still, just for a second. 

That moment is when the first ember of the day’s sun peaks over the mountain top to begin its journey once more. 

I try to find a piece of music to express the feeling of stillness and presence I get.  This year the sun was kind enough to arrive 1 hour 28 minutes and 40 seconds into this mix. I was in awe. I’m still in awe.

Some of the magic of the playa for me is where the nature blends with boundless creativity. Where love meets wonder and we get to laugh, dance and play. Add a dash of music for good measure and, for a moment, that magic catches its breath to take it all in, and stands still.

2024 was one of my favorite years ever. Thank you to all you artists and lovers, cooks and cuddlers. To all those who toil for months before and after to make it happen and to anyone who gave anything to another. You’re all amazing. I’m currently headed back towards (or is it away from) that moment once more.

Through adversity, we find strength. This year was not without its challenges but it was without a doubt the most wonderful opportunity for growth I have ever had the good fortune to experience. Life is a gift and the human connections we make every day are all that will matter in the end.

The wind was blowing strong, the air was chilly, but the vibes were warm and strongly felt. I hope you enjoy my slow building sonic journey, and that it brings back positive memories of another incredible week on the Playa. "My first burn… wow!! Still speechless & filled with Playa energy. A full week of breathtaking sunrises, hugging greets, beautiful art, randomness in the biggest sense of the word, cold nights, odd sleeping patterns and 8 days of laughter, love, smiles, tears, energy, sensory overload, dust everywhere, beautiful music and support from familiar faces and new amazing human beings which i can now call my genuine friends. A big THANXXX to Robot Heart for having me. Playing the bus monday morning 4AM after a week of deep playa adventures was the icing on the cake.  Big hugs to all the hard core burners who made it out to dance with me post temple burn.

3 hours of the Captain Hook set at Psy-Fi Festival 2018. It was meant to be a 2 hours set, but there was another hour open so we all just flowed with it. dear plants, poets and pirates! a message seeded from the seabeds and underwater forests has been floating on the ocean's surface, and the wind has carried it to our shores and dance floors:

It's time to dive deeper into ourselves, exploring our inner depths, giving up some of our outer addictions, desires and comforts that might be causing damage to ourselves and other creatures we share this beautiful planet with. Maybe there are some old artefacts from the past that need to excavated, restored, released. Don't worry, we'll learn to breathe underwater. We’ll learn to become like seaweed, flexible to the currents of life, and make it look like we're dancing.

Atop the ocean surface, things seem choppy and chaotic. Riding the waves is sometimes fun and thrilling, and other times treacherous and terrifying. As we recount the joys and sorrows of the ocean, we notice it's a wheel that never stops turning. Maybe we can travel deep enough to touch our own inner stillness, the great aquatic wonderland, the holy peace; that timeless, weightless, oceanic feeling, where the sunlight pierces through, casting a shimmering jig of light and colour.
