Growing up, I listened to a lot of rock from across the ages. There were a few artists who I was particularly drawn to, and Frampton was one of those. I remember as a kid hearing the talkbox and being totally blown away. So when the opportunity came, I jumped at being able to do a funky little reworking of "Do You Feel Like We Do".

Big thanks to the fine people at Vibe Magazine for premiering the remix, and big thanks to the man Peter Frampton himself saying he loved my new remix!

Last summer, in preparation for the fall tour, I decided to re-master (and in some cases re-create) some Bassnectar classics. I went back into Timestretch & Wildstyle and gave each song special treatment to bring it into a 2014 state of existence: thicker, clearer, heavier, louder, and even more alive. We’ve taken these collections and paired them on CD with releases which had previously been confined to the digital-only realms, with bonus tracks and the new special deluxe RE-DUX! Newer bass heads will be able to enjoy some of this music for the first time, audiophiles can bask in revisiting their favorite tracks with updated masters, and collectors can fill some gaps in their CD discography with first time pressings of Take You Down and Freestyle.

This mix is for the night owls who find their creative inspiration during the late hours when the rest of the world sleeps. When things get quiet, the phone stops ringing and emails stop pinging. Me good pal MartyParty and I decided that the colonials (South Africa and NZ respectively) needed to share the love when it comes to all things Bass and Strings.
