This was fun. This is mostly a quick sample of a percussive 4//lIGhT's 60 bpm Stomp bit, repeated excessively, with a tiny guitar-sounding bit from @tristan_louth_robins 's Refactored Drift. Filled out with @XHG 's Acrostic Speed Limit and some from a 4th one, but I forget.

Instructions:

Step 1: In the previous Disquiet Junto project, participants recorded a variety of tracks at a standard pace of 60 BPM. Listen to the resulting material on the Lines discussion board and the SoundCloud playlist:

Step 2: Select two or more tracks from the provided ones, slow them to half their original pace — that is, to 30 BPM — and use editing techniques to combine them into one new piece of music.

Hey Pluto [Disquiet 0141-GraphicSteinberg]

Rigged up a small canvas from an art shop with a piezo disc. This was an aborted attempt at a painting I tried years ago. I followed the method proposed by the picture/score- all tracks were made by capturing the sound of brushing or scraping the canvas. I used a variety of brushes : soft watercolour, glued stiff and scratchy, old toothbrush, a ponyhair police mop, ball end of knife ,drumstick. All were applied dry except for 2 goes with a wet brush.
I was going to find a contrast sound to compliment the canvas brushing and looked at the score for another instruction but the colours on the pallet were all blob black the same.
The number of tracks (24) equals the stave count in the picture. With so many tracks I many tracks as 2 similar pairs and panned them Left and Right to get a nice immersive stereo field.
The canvas is quite tight and acts like a drum skin. lots of tonal difference depending where I brushed. No delay, reverb or effects were added, no eq. Some mild compression was applied to the whole mix to bring down the loudest crackle/ pops which you get with piezo contact recordings.
In 1930 the name Pluto, after the god of the underworld, was proposed for the newly discovered 9th planet by, an eleven-year-old English schoolgirl who was interested in classical mythology.In 2006 astronomers have stated that this slight mass, only 0.2% that of the earth, does not meet the criteria of a proper planet. 
Like Uranus and Neptune Pluto had a newly discovered element named after it in 1941. Plutonium. It is radioactive and can accumulate in the bones. The Fat man atomic bomb used conventional explosive lenses to compress a sphere of plutonium into a supercritical mass. it was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, on August 9, 1945, The "Little Boy" bomb dropped on Hiroshima three days earlier used uranium-235, not plutonium. Only after the announcement of the first atomic bombs was the existence of plutonium made public.
On headphones you can definitely hear the Geiger counters in there.
