📖 DESCRIPTION DE L'ARTISTE : musique classique empreinte de modernité et d'ethnicité

◾ Musique tonale et découverte d’autres modes musicaux :

Il structure ses compositions sur fond de musique tonale avec son mode majeur et son mode mineur. Ayant très tôt une attirance toute particulière pour ce dernier avec sa gamme mineure harmonique et sa note sensible, il ajoute à sa musique de la modernité avec des parties chromatiques et des passages répétitifs lui permettant ainsi de créer des mélodies mélancoliques aux couleurs légèrement orientales.

Il étudie ultérieurement les modes diatoniques et les modes pentatoniques d'extrême-orient (modes japonais, chinois, indiens et balinais), qu'il découvre lors de ses voyages pour obtenir un spectre plus large de couleurs sonores et les intégrer avec parcimonie.

◾ Évolution d’une musique tonale à une musique polymodale :

L’utilisation de plus en plus importante des modes diatoniques et des modes pentatoniques d’extrêmes-orient dans sa musique la fait parfois basculer du monde tonal (avec ses gammes majeures, ses gammes mineures et ses modulations/tonulations successives) au monde polymodal (où plusieurs modes coexistent simultanément dans une même phrase musicale, à l’image de Fauré - à ne pas confondre avec le jazz modal qui utilise un mode différent pour chaque accord plaqué ou la musique atonale, sans tonalité -), créant ainsi une ambiguïté à déterminer le mode dominant du morceau.

◾ Instrumentation et usage de l'électronique :

Partant du piano et de la guitare qui sont ses instruments de prédilection, il ne cesse d'enrichir et de faire évoluer sa musique en faisant appel à la musique du monde et à la musique antique (pour leurs rythmes envoûtants et leurs instruments aux timbres variés), aux instruments virtuels (pour leurs sons électroniques), ainsi qu'aux paysages sonores.

◾ Dramaturgie sonore :

À partir de sa signature artistique, il crée différents univers musicaux qu’il aime décrire comme son théâtre sans corps ou son cinéma sans images, laissant libre court à l’imagination de l’auditeur. Ce dramaturge du son pense donc ses compositions comme des films sonores avec leurs passages narratifs et leurs passages descriptifs. Les bruitages plantent le décor, les fondus sonores, souvent présents en plein milieu d’un morceau, ponctuent ce dernier en plusieurs séquences comme au cinéma ; les multiples variations de tempo simulent des ellipses ou au contraire des pauses descriptives et enfin les nombreux mouvements panoramiques, les effets de volume et de réverbération modèlent l’espace.

Tout cela n’est pas sans rappeler les techniques utilisées dans la fiction radiophonique. Cependant, la musicalité de ses œuvres reste pour lui un point fondamental.

◾ Pulsation organique :

Afin de donner un aspect moins mécanique et plus organique à la pulsation de ses compositions, il utilise le rubato (variation de tempo), créant ainsi des courbes d’enflement et des courbes d’apaisement à l’image des battements du cœur (voir l’album "Minima").

◾ Périodes musicales (chevauchement) :

- Première période (2004-2019) : "renaissance saturnienne mineure".

Ayant commencé à composer sérieusement à partir de 2004, à l’âge de vingt ans, c’est en 2019, à l’âge de trente-cinq ans, qu’il décide de clôturer sa première période de composition musicale. Ces quinze années sont ponctuées principalement par des morceaux mélancoliques, tristes, parfois sombres, mais possédant toujours une note d’espoir et de lumière. Avec le recul, il les analyse comme "sa renaissance saturnienne mineure" ; et quand on lui demande sur quelle planète prendront vie ses futures compositions, il répond que seul son vaisseau de la création le sait...

- Deuxième période (fin 2017 à 2023) : "exploration jupitérienne polymodale".

À partir de la fin de l'année 2017, il quitte le monde tonal et part à la conquête d'autres mondes avec leurs différents modes (heptatonique, pentatonique...) aux humeurs et aux couleurs uniques. Il diminue progressivement l'utilisation du mode majeur et en particulier du mode mineur, qui est son mode favori de 2004 à 2019 pendant sa période musicale et mélancolique "renaissance saturnienne mineure", pour augmenter l'utilisation des modes diatoniques (ionien, dorien, phrygien, lydien, myxolydien, éolien et locrien). Il ne s'éloigne pas pour autant de la pensée tonale, dans la mesure où il part d'un mode "matrice" avec son harmonie adéquate et conserve les mêmes principes de tonalités, de degrés et de cadences pour chacun des modes utilisés. Dans ses compositions, il passe souvent d'un mode à un autre en utilisant les modulations relatives comportant les mêmes notes constitutives. Parfois, plusieurs modes (rarement plus de deux) se trouvent au sein d'une même phrase musicale, sans qu'il y ait pour autant de réelle modulation. On a en quelque sorte une ambiguïté polymodale. Il ne s'agit donc pas, pour lui, de penser la modalité comme en jazz modal, où le mode change pour chaque accord plaqué.

Afin d'ajouter une touche extrême-orientale à sa musique, il choisit d'intégrer les modes pentatoniques d'Extrême-Orient (modes japonais, chinois, indiens et balinais). Pour cela, il surpondère mélodiquement et harmoniquement les cinq notes d'un mode pentatonique comprises également dans un mode heptatonique (diatonique).

Il considère cette période comme "son exploration jupitérienne polymodale".

- Troisième période (fin 2023 à aujourd'hui) : "sobriété lunaire chromatique".

À la fin de l'année 2023, il entre dans une phase d'alternance entre mélancolie et alacrité, mais dans une certaine forme de sobriété. Par conséquent, il prend l'initiative d'épurer et de fusionner les éléments de sa première période saturnienne avec ceux de sa seconde période jupitérienne pour commencer une troisième période qu'il définit comme "sa sobriété lunaire chromatique".

Pour mieux incarner musicalement cette sinuosité, il fait le choix de combiner et d'intensifier deux techniques qu'il utilise déjà ; à savoir le rubato (changement de tempo) et le chromatisme pour ses nombreuses possibilités de mouvements mélodiques ascendants ou descendants. En revanche, il garde le cap sur le monde tonal et sur le monde polymodal en intégrant uniquement des parties chromatiques, sans s'aventurer, pour le moment, vers l'atonalité, le dodécaphonisme ou le sérialisme.

Intro:) Lady ElectroTrek is an artist of varying fields... who doesn't feel like she can be crammed into one genre. She creates where she feels the spirit of the moment takes her.../' Lady ElectroTrek has done live choir performances, even had an experience with TV group performance. ElectroTrek has been on radio, different stations--won an award out of Chicago, & received a radio artist plaque for her efforts. ElectroTrek has won group trophy for best in regional singing. ElectroTrek was asked to be a select member of 8 singers called: "The Pantherettes" as a freshman.
ElectroTrek grew up knowing she had a desire to sing, but never anticipated that she would one day take part in a burgeoning exploration of creativity within the instrumental field.
Electrotrek first learned how to play the flute recorder, while attending a private school & studying under a German teacher. Arthur was her teacher, & later saved her life from freezing to death in the snow, when her stepfather 'conveniently' forgot to pick her up & left her there while he was in another town away from where she was going to school & she was left outside until past 8:00 o'clock at night as a middle school child. No cell phones back then, & no money was given her for in case of emergency. The fact that she has survived many abusive encounters, is indeed a miracle in itself.
ElectroTrek has taken flute classes with a popular YouTube teacher from Utah. She has a Sterling flute imported from Australia.
ElectroTrek studied some guitar underneath an aunt of hers who was a Music Major & a music shop owner. Although she never bought instruments from that aunt's shop, due to her relocating over 1500 miles away.
ElectroTrek took piano lessons with a German piano teacher who was very strict to the point that he would hit her hands with a solid wood ruler that had a metal edge & left her hands stinging. Told her that her homework from school was not as important as the piano & demand her to cut her nails off, though they were only moderately grown out. She later switched to a teacher by the last name of Miller, but that proved to only bore & be drawn out to the point of ridiculousness, & only seemed as if paying for lessons but not allowed to progress became evident of being taken advantage of. She then found solace & understanding under her stepfather's brother's wife's teaching.
From there she began to gather tidbits from reaching out to several high-end Professionals & has expanded on trying many new things.
Her life is a story of working against constant odds & mistreatment & she can hold her head with dignity. She has earned her right to be treated as an equal & not cut in half & projected upon by predatory narcissists. Assertiveness is her right to maintaining her boundaries.
ElectroTrek has been involved in many things outside of music as an altruistic activist & rights advocate...& signed many petitions to prevent cruelty & abuse.
An Indian photographer once nominated Lady ElectroTrek for a Nobel Peace Prize on a public forum for her voluntary commitment & diligent work to protect underage models against human trafficking.

FYI: Answer the Q: :D NO I'm NOT a robot! Robots don't wear expensive perfume, have a social security number, have a driver's license issued to them, & have blue, aqua or green veins. Robots do not have menstrual cycles nor experience Amenorrhea--which I have... & do not have one of the rarest eye colors--I do. Robots don't get goosebumps when getting cold. Robots do not get hypothermia--I went on a White Water Rapids trip in Hell's Canyon --My boat flipped over & was suspended in mid air for what seemed like 45 seconds before it capsized. I survived being drug up a steep cliff, with my hips & legs temporarily paralyzed & my lips had turned purple due to lack of oxygen & severe cold in the month of September. So a nurse, the guide & his dad & his daughter saved me from freezing to death. Robots don't go through that--I'm 101% HUMAN. So enough of your needless assumptions & projections. I play Piano, Guitar/Electric guitar, Harmonica, Flute Recorder, Synth, Pan Flute & Drums, I sing, write, compose, won award for a Comic-Con Convention contest for being an all in one package deal>> digital artist, model, music, & concept. etc. Don't hate me because I have times where I can create faster than you. ⁂About love: It is utter nonsense to leave the generalization that if you give love, you get love in return. It is simply NOT true... When I look at abused children who have been entrapped within the confines of circumstances, all the love in the world doesn't STOP the abuser from seeing things in a perspective that will harness his faults he fails to identify.
⁂Some experiments may fail, but if we never tried, then we would not be moved to join on a path of something better...Why should there be shame? ⁂Experience can bring evolutionary changes. (Food for thought:)

Dr. Wally Bartfay is a retired Professor and former Associate Dean (August, 2024) for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  He was also affectionately known as the “Rock N’ Prof” by his students because he often played original songs that he has written prior to the commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has appeared on Euro Indie Music Chart lists top 1; World Indie Music Chart lists top 1 and 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No. 18. In 2024, he had 3 No. 1 Indie hits on the Euro Indie Network Music Charts and World Indie Top 100 Music Chart lists with collaborator Stephen Wrench: 1. You're My Beautiful; 2. Little Sunshine Girl and 3. Cherry Hill Gal.  Stephen has been a 6x Grammy Awardee and has won over 50 Gold and Platinum records throughout his career journey that spans 5 decades now.

Ever since Wally was a little lad, he wanted to play the electric guitar and make music that creates smiles on people’s faces. He can remember playing his imaginary electric "air guitar" in his parents’ basement to various rock and country songs for hours on end. He got his first guitar when he turned 14 after taking on various odds jobs including pumping gas on weekends and cutting lawns.  He quickly learned to play it on his very own, along with several other instruments. Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  He got interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a nursing home.  Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an artist.

I am Dan Lockhart/ProgRockDan.  I am half of the duo Dan X2.  I enjoy making music with my partner Dan Blackard.  I was born in East St. Louis, Illinois.  I was raised in a rural area near Edwardsville, Illinois.  I have lived in San Antonio, Texas; Bad, Kreuznach, Germany;  Kansas City, Missouri; Columbus, Georgia; Haverhill Massachusetts;  St, Louis, Missouri, and Indianapolis, Indiana.
