This piece features the razor-sharp chicken-pickin' of guitarist George Sempepos, along with a host of the musical ghosts who inevitably appear in pieces using Chance Operation, which this does. Somehow a simple afrobeat-influenced zarb solo just grew into something resembling a disco barn-dance on another planet where a symposium on atonality in early 20th-century classical composition was taking place. Or something like it.

Jedna z nejpopulárnějších sociálních sítí současnosti, Instagram, oslavila před časem deset let od svého založení. Sociální antropoložka Marie Heřmanová se sociálním sítím odborně věnuje. V nejnovějším dílu podcastové talk show Kvóty se proto bavíme o tom, jaký má Instagram vliv na naši psychiku, jak se z původně feel good aplikace stal velký zdroj úzkostí nebo jak se liší strategie pro fungování na sítích pro muže a ženy.

Manhattan’s High Line, a 1.45-mile length
Žižkov High Line, ???

The principles and philosophy of world-famous garden designer Piet Oudolf in the context of Prague and its climate.

Following her search for extraordinary beauty in plants, their textures and changes throughout the seasons, Tereza Kerle created a multi-layered site-specific performance whose main actors are the plants themselves, creating – in the style of the Dutch new wave but with regard to local conditions – a “Žižkov highline”. These natural shapes and textures, as well as their sustainability, remind us of the wildness of prairies, meadows and plains.

The choreography respects the theme and creates a new layer of events in the site.

Adaptability. The existence of the unit in the wider whole. The cycle and cycles in which the plant resembles the cycle of human life, only repeating year after year. Disintegration, transformation and the subsequent renewal. Everything the plant takes from the soil, it always returns to it. It dies every year and is reborn in its ashes in the spring.

Staging The Plants (pt.2)

Zóna is the artistic project of site-specific performer Tereza Kerle and musician/music producer Tomáš Kerle.  Zóna is focusing mainly on site-specific projects and live shows. 

Zóna is an open platform for collaboration with other artists working with sonic and visual elements.

Zóna means danger and fascination at the same time, it represents world without end.

We draw our inspiration from many directions but the main impulse comes from wandering and exploration of different landscapes, both natural and urban. At every place we are present with our body, mind, spirit and our dreams. 

The Vision is to create deep and immersive experience that takes the audience with us on the journey. 

In our recent projects we incorporate performance, live instruments, field-recordings, electronic processing and abstract visuals.
