"Smoked!" is ANOTHER song initially made during our Discord event, "Broken Ringerphone, Season 2". The unpolished version was made by playing an elaborate game of telephone, passing around the project file without talking directly to each other. Fast forward to now, long after the event ended, this single contains a new polished version! This is our attempt to iron out all the kinks of the original version, and turn the song into something that is actually fun to listen to outside the context of the event.
This is the single for Zone-440's upcoming album titled "Mitosis", which contains the remaining half of polished GPJ2 material. Be sure to follow us so you don't miss it!

i don't normally do multiple releases this close together but this track was made spontaneously for a shitpost on Tim Hecker 2, and I'm actually... really proud of it??? so like?? here I guess??

This track was made by taking the song i created before it in the album, then trying to build off of that. I started by making the song use 51 beats per bar, making the phrases feel very extended. When I was making this the start of the first measure sounded really full and detailed, but then it suddenly went to the more empty sections of this massive measure and I actually really enjoyed it due to how large the chords felt as the focus. The rest of the song was made with this in mind, with the detailed first part of each measure getting more and more dissonant and strange with each iteration, partly due to the fact it has remnants of previous songs I worked on that are in no way related to this one (though i also intentionally made it fall apart more and more). The start of the measure collects dust before collapsing in on itself.
