It were as if the windows had been wheeled wide upon so as they could all bathe in the glow of the warm, radiant sun which poured down from the heavens up above. It was the release they had all been waiting for, the sign that summer was here and that the cold, dark days of winter had been banished for at least another season. 

Soon wild things would grow, flowers and plants and the dense greenery of the grass would glow and bloom a radiant green in the light of the golden rays before fading a soft gentle brown. 

This was the season he loved the most, a special time in which he felt most whole and at one with everything around him...

Zoo Look are back! The pair have returned in triumphant style with a new EP for Permanent Vacation. 'Release' is perhaps their most direct offering to date - channeling elements of euphoric, melodic house alongside discerning bass infused tendencies. This one will work magic on the dancefloor, especially with that tasty little pause.

It’s been a hot minute since our latest Podcast Series offering and we can’t be happier to celebrate the first glimpses of Spring with this patiently blossoming and deliciously crafted mix by our dear friend, the London-based DJ and producer ~ Samson A.K ✨

A resident at the Introspective Electronics' affiliated Terra Obscura events, Sam hosted a number of regular shows on Balamii and Noods, spinning left-field flavours of techno, bass, ambient and everything in between and inviting intriguing guests to contribute their take on oddball electronica spanning a refreshing variety of moods and weights. Sam is closing the upcoming Terra Obscura at Ormside Projects on 20th May alongside Cousin, The Outsert (live) and our own Avsluta on warm-up duties. This one is for all you London-dwelling lovers and dreamers 🧡

London’s Jon K & Elle Andrews grip Samson A.K. for the first MAL mixtape - a cut ’n paste hour of screwed downbeats, grotty jazz, and ruder club thrust, mostly built from his own productions interspersed with skits, on a tip somewhere between classic Disengage x Blue Jam.

Samson A.K. has long worked behind the curtain of London club music. On ‘Tape 1’ MAL spotlight the breadth of his mutant steez, giving him carte blanche for a collaged self-portrait stitched together with samples and cruddy, free-handed edits that suite the tape format well.

Side A runs from dancehall and deconstructed grime into pockets of bong-huff jazz and MJB-like deep house, then backward thru the bush of ghosts, into worm-charming industrial techno tremors. The B-side follows thru with a slew of distended offbeats and lopsided rhythmic programming to run rings around latinate techno, blown-out grunge, and radioactive brownian slosh, before bringing it back to root in mutant dancehall - a key fascination (obsession?) he shares with MAL.
