Conceived in the summer of 2010, Lower East is a label that has represented the very best in underground house and techno since its inception. It is a platform that stands for diversity, with a firm focus on nurturing new talent while drawing a wealth of past experience, to truly encapsulate all that the electronic music industry has to offer. Owned by Cozzy D, Lower East continues to evolve and remains as relevant today as it was when it was first founded at the beginning of the decade. 

Since its launch, quality and variety have been key traits of the label, they form the core of Lower East’s output. Cozzy has been entrenched in the club world for a long while now, with his personal tastes informed by a range of influences. This permeates into the label, which supports a variety of sounds, from straight up dancefloor ready house & techno to more accessible deep and soulful cuts.

Tracks such as Gavin Herlihy's timeless remix of Gav Memnos' 'Be Your Oooo', Johnny Mikes’ Darkness Everyday’, Alexis Raphael's 'Kitchens & Bedrooms' and Cozzy D’s ‘Aphrodite’ are among Lower East’s key hits and helped establish them as a reputable source of high quality club music. Since then Lower East has maintained a constant flow of releases, from a wide range of artists from the likes of MK to Timo Maas – also releasing two various artist compilations: Inner Circles 1 & 2, not to mention label showcases in Switzerland, Paris, Barcelona and across the breadth of the UK as well as a tour of Australia. Nurturing new talent is a constant focus too, with artists like REbEL, Johnny Mikes, Michael Jansons and Alexis Raphael coming up through the ranks thanks to their support.

Started in October 2006 by Steve Lawler, VIVa Music began life as a conduit for the internationally renowned DJ and Producer to release the wealth of underground music he encountered on his travels. Now, just a few years later VIVa is a self-contained hotbed for new talent which draws attention from DJs, punters and producers alike. Having previously handled the now-classic and traditional vinyl label Harlem Records, Lawler decided VIVa was to be a forward thinking outlet for quality music and boldly announced that VIVa was to be digital only. As well as a clear mission to look towards the future of the music industry, this was a step to ensure that music could be released quickly and retain the freshness that the labels A&R was struck by. Far from the template set out by many of Lawler's contemporaries, VIVa quickly established itself as a label where artists could be themselves and write music that isn't defined by just A&R, but by one simple guideline: Quality. This has meant the label has gone on to release music from a wide range artists, from major players like Lawler and Audiofly through to burgeoning talent like Livio & Roby and Nicole Moudaber. In keeping with an ever evolving outlook, 2009 will see VIVa further transformed. Worldwide tour nights, Festival Arena, International Residency's and a new UK based residency at the legendary Ministry of Sound in London are just the tip of the iceberg. Always ones to buck trends, the VIVa family are pressing vinyl again alongside it's digital output as well as expanding its roster of relatively unknown talent rather than rely on the tried and tested. At the forefront of this exclusive roster of talent are the likes of Vrajitoroo, David Pher, Dragosh, Adroid Cartel, Jimmy Hill, Alex Tepper, TRNNSTR, Darius Syrossian & NYRA, Erphun and Sean Miller but VIVa will continue to work with what it considers extended family for both releases as well as remixes; which means the likes of Jamie Jones, Audiofly, Simon Baker, Tiefschwarz, Bearweasel, David Durango and many, many more. Uto Karem, a renowned techno music artist and mastermind behind Agile Recordings, has been a dominant force in the industry for over two decades. His mixing mastery and captivating grooves have ignited dance floors worldwide. Originating from a diverse musical upbringing between Italy and England, influenced by bands like New Order and Depeche Mode, he delved into techno in Naples. Collaborating with labels like Plus 8 and SCI-TEC, just to name a few! 
His journey includes studying audio engineering and contributing as an editor for the first music magazine in Italy. Over the years he has earned industry respect and support from icons like Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin., Dubfire. Today, he stands as a global techno ambassador.
