Peter et Steven est le nouveau projet crée par Dr Nokman et Dj Call....
Derrière le projet Ptr & Stvn se cachent deux routards des platines technics, Dr Nokman et Dj Call. L’un est le fondateur, entre autres du Natty Bass Sound System  fondé à Londres et qui a absorbé et participé à l’évolution de la culture Hip Hop et Rave dans les années 90 a lyon , le second dj et scratcheur émérite, capable de désassembler et réassembler une boîte à rythme vintage pratiquement les yeux bandés. 

Leur style hybride, électronique mais profondément enraciné dans la culture Sound System et dans la chasse aux samples, est pertinent et attire l’attention : les remix, les productions et les tournées s’enchaînent. 

Leurs sets à 4 platines d’inspiration Hip Hop, D’n’B, Breaks et Electro mêlent Remix en Live, Mix Classique et une bonne dose de Scratch. 

L’arrêt forcé des tournées donne au duo l’opportunité de se concentrer sur des collaborations avec notamment le trompettiste N’ZENG (le peuple de l’herbe), le rappeur ONIRI, le Beat Boxer et Beat Maker RHUM ONE ou bien DJ FLY qu’on ne présente plus, tout comme des remix pour Dr Vince (Svinkels / Stupéflip) ou Flavia Cohélo .

LA singer-songwriter Greg Laswell has a rare gift for employing metaphor, mystery and honesty with equal acumen. Indeed, those that have spent time with his music over the years have had the distinct privilege of sharing profoundly personal moments with him – even as he left just enough open to interpretation.

Yet when he reimagined songs by the likes of Kate Bush, Kristin Hersh, and Echo & the Bunnymen for his 2009 album Covers, he revealed something else entirely by means of divulging his own most essential musical influences. A decade later, he is revisiting that undertaking with Covers II – which finds him this time communing with Depeche Mode, PJ Harvey, The Verve, even Peter Gabriel.

His 2018 album Next Time, which Popmatters said “brims with introspective imagery,” was arguably his most accomplished to date. But it was 2009’s Covers that still seemed like so much unfinished business. So, Covers II could not be coming at a better time, to reignite the dialogue about those that have influenced him and continue to do so.
