This was recorded live for all of you who follow my musical journeys into the auditory abyss. Thanks to the beautiful Colorado community for making this a truly magical evening. <3

Thanks to all of the producers and musicians whom I chose their tracks to create a surreal dream state with which to open our evening of blissed out music. My gratitude to Erothyme and Soulacybin for sharing the stage with me as we led people into an evening of chill psychedelic music to accompany our surreal art forms.

Some of you already know that I'm a big lover of Movie Soundtracks. I really like those punchy violins that you can hear in some action movies, so I decided to try to make some. After making a big part of the track, I thought that it was still missing something. I made it to listen to a couple of friends, and one was with his daughter, Elea, 9 years old. She seemed to enjoy the track and was very interested to music. So I asked her if she would like to sing on it and we had a lot of fun doing it. This week our special guest on the Cadenza Music Source to Cycle is Disco Channel.

The Swiss based DJ has been playing music since an early age, soaking up the house, techno and hip hop sounds that currently influence his sets.  As part of the Swiss Secret Society crew, Disco Channel plays regularly around Geneva, and has had his music released on labels like Ateria Music and Littlehouse Records.

Our special guest this week on the Cadenza Music Source to Cycle is Joeski.

Starting his long career Djing at house parties in Queens, New York, Joeski moved on to spinning at legendary NYC nightspots such as the Limelight, the Roxy, and the Save The Robots after-hours with DJ Keoki.

As a producer, Joeski has become synonymous with the classic tribal house sounds coming out of the States, recording for Siesta Music, Electrik Soul, Chez Music and his own Maya label.  Joeski has also paired up in the past with producers like Dano for The Twisted Pair, and produced the classic ‘El Amor’ cut with DJ Chus.  Joeski continues to produce and DJ, recently releasing on Suara Records and Desolat.

This week, our special guest on the Cadenza Music Source to Cycle is Igor Vicente.

Hooked onto the electronic music scene from his teenage years, and inspired by artists like Richie Hawtin, Steve Rachmand and Derrick Carter, Igor created the Wild Family parties, inviting DJs like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and Dinky to play.

In 2011 he set up the Ultrasone project with Vernon Bara, releasing music on Hot Creations and Supplement Facts.  And as a solo producer, Igor has released his music on Mobilee Records and Hot Creations.  Igor is currently busy DJing for Mobilee in Ibiza and beyond, and starts up his new label venture, State of Flow Records in October.

This week, Shinedoe from Amsterdam takes time out of her busy schedule to guest on our Source to Cycle podcast.

The lady behind the Intacto Records label, Shinedoe launched her production career back in 2004, releasing on the influential Dutch label100% Pure.   In that same year, she launched Intacto, an imprint that has since gone on to great things, releasing music from the likes of Innersphere, 2000 And One, Glimpse, D’Julz, Lee Van Dowski and of course her own productions.  

Shinedoe has also released two full length albums over the years, and continues to DJ around the world on a weekly basis, so let’s catch up with the sounds of Shindoe on this week’s Source to Cycle….

Hamburg/Berlin based Soukie & Windish released one of their first 12-inches on 200 Records – the EP “Elsewhere” (200 005 – March 2010). They have released a lot of records afterwards and shaped their unique style. Now they are back on 200 Records with two superb tracks.

Duster has the classical Soukie & Windish groove with a great atmosphere and cool vocals. Flott is a perfect summer groover with a fresh sound and a great bassline.

It's full moon! We are glad to have @Treavor-Moontribe at the controls of our mission 06.

In June of 1993 a small group of friends gathered under a full moon in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. Over 23 years later these gatherings are still going strong and easily the longest running truly underground event of its kind in America, perhaps the world. They call themselves Moontribe and still to this day you will find no promotion for these events. There is no Facebook event for it, there are no flyers on the streets, no posters…no hype! Yet somehow this tribe finds each other under that full moon deep in the desert to dance to hypnotic beats and celebrate life! DJ Treavor Moontribe is one of the founders of these gatherings, one half of the electronica/chill out project @DesertDwellers and a 19 year veteran of Burning Man.

200 Records was founded as a Techno label for vinyl and digital releases by Kai Sasse and Dirk Middeldorf in Cologne, Germany at the beginning of 2009. 200 Records releases music for the club and defines itself as an open-minded label striving to provide a platform for both established and new artists. They are putting an emphasis on connecting with their artists musically and personally. The motivation behind starting this label is Kai’s and Dirk’s love for electronic music; the will to contribute a piece to its development – to give back – and last but not least, due to their close friendship, the desire to create something new together.
