Kosh exploded onto the electro scene in 2018 with his debut release ‘Null 212’ on Casa Voyager records. The track that received the most attention was ‘Catch The Train’ with it’s faultless modern take on classic Detroit electro reminiscent of Cybotron and Aux 88.  It became a big track for 20/20 Vision founder Ralph Lawson who quickly invited Kosh to record for the label.

Kosh - ‘Vicious Love’ is a diverse 4 track EP showing off the Moroccan producers faultless production skills with the A-side featuring ‘An Arab in Space’ that continues to bring the classic sound of Detroit right up to date while title track ‘Vicious Love’ pushes into new territories, incorporating acid tinged synths, vocoded vocals and an insistent fast paced bassline. On the flip side ‘She Gets Mad’ is a straight up dance floor filler from the school of Casablanca while ‘Headache’ is precisely the opposite experience from the title with a relaxed, lush jam that oozes Larry Heard influences.

From 1997 comes this underground beauty created by Mark Ambrose under his alias "Skymaster". This release has been on heavy rotation lately around the world so we are very happy to present you a fully remastered reissue of this essential classic.

The EP starts off with the single A-side track "Disco Trippin", which is a super phunky jazzy Chicago influental dancefloor groover. On the B1 we have "Tunnel Vision" which is  a slightly harder hitting peak time assault track. This is being followed up by "Free Your Mind" which is according to ourselves the track we enjoy the most on this EP, it has everything we like with warm summery and dreamy sounds, fully injected with love <3

The lagoon was beautiful and isolated, he looked down from atop a cliff face at the shallow pool below. Soon he would bathe in the dense blue waters and swim in the warmth of the ocean. He began to make his way down the dusty old footpath into what he would describe as paradise bay. To the locals it was known as Casa Iguana but to him it was simply a little piece of heaven, a place he would hold dear to his heart until the day he dropped dead. There was not a single soul around, nobody else but him on earth in this moment. He began to swim...

My guest this month is George Crowther AKA @mrsassdj A Close friend of mine whose track selection lends itself perfectly to the Cosmos sound. A man who lives with the heart of the white isle in his veins. 

His mix holds a strong narrative about the head space a lot of us have been through; darkness into a crescendo of power and optimism.
