The name Betamax stands for quality electronic music and analog warmth in micro/minimal/lo-fi/tech house/breakbeat and electro genres. The show itself is a mix series to represent groovy, funky, and rough sounds to show a more creative and experimental approach to dance music and @Play4n4.

Argentinian born but raised in Italy, RNXRX is a producer, sound artist and DJ currently orbiting around the city of Barcelona representing Ombra Festival.
Soon noticed for his mutant industrial techno noise approach, blending industrial, punk and jungle he embodies the new-skool. RNXRX is a resident of Barcelona’s long running back street techno shrine MOOG and helps to run the CERCLE organisation. He released musical efforts on Veyl, Drok Records, M.U.S.A. and Variance.

Chen Yi aims for a collective approach of art. As an isolated group of humans/numbers operating directly from a secret place in Chelmsford (UK), they developped a personnal and "bizarre" utilisation of guitars, machines, voices, distortion, giving as result an unconventional regroupment of compositions amongst a lot of lost/unreleased recordings. This is likely what got John Peel interested which leads to an inexplicable CBS contract. More couldn't be finalised, because CBS suddenly pulled out of the contract. "Due to their raw and alternative 'self-made' musical approach, they've been compared to the likes of Throbbing Gristle, Borghesia & Severed Heads or more underground names as Het Zweet, Biting Tongues..."
